Bryan Fisher's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Fisher is an excellent vascular specialist and surgeon.He is at the top of his profession and is very concerned about his patients.I feel very blessed to have him as my mother's doctor. He is very personable. He takes the time to listen and explains in detail the treatment plan. His Practioner is excellent as well. The staff is very efficient, kind and helpful. Office visit wait times are minimal if not at all. The staff followup with my mother's scheduled surgery before and after. Thank God for the professional medical service that Dr. Fisher and his staff provides. Keep up the excellent work. Thank you.

One of the best, if not THE BEST doctors we have ever dealt with, hands down. Clear, concise and straight to the point..in his office AND in surgery. I am so very thankful that it was he who performed my husbands carotid surgery. Absolutely at the top of his game. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

only because they do not have minus stars. My left carotid artery was inoperable, confirmed after the surgery by the negative effects I have been left with. Vascular doctor in Paducah called it correctly prior to my visit with Dr. Fisher. My family physician faxed the reports to Dr. Fisher 5 days prior to my appointment. I went to my family physician to discuss my results from the vascular surgeon in Paducah , not to be sent for a second opinion, but that is what happened. What a mistake I made. On my visit to Dr. Bryan Fisher, I took my medical reports along with the cd of the CT angiogram which she (Michele) refused to accept saying they do their own testing and do not look at others testing. They performed the only the doppler test prior to surgery and then again at the post surgical appointment in their office. Dr. Fisher saw me in his hallway at my first appointment as Michele was taking me to a room. She gave me a report that the left carotid artery was totally fixable, it was like 80% and this is what they do and all they do. When I said I was told it was 100% blocked and inoperable, she said oh no it is only like 80%, she this blood flow. She showed me a picture on her phone saying, see, it is not 100%, it has blood flow and only like 80%. Several times I said what the Paducah doctor had said, that it was 100% blocked and inoperable. She told me oh no, it is fixable and in two weeks you will be ready for your back surgery, have this surgery first and we will get that artery fixed and in two weeks you can have your back surgery. I asked if she was sure; many times she assured me. I ask about what to expect, she said some numbness where the surgical incision was, but that is it. Her words. There was no discussion about not having the surgery, but assurance from her that the surgery was the way to go. I spoke with Dr. Fisher the morning of surgery and maybe three times in the hospital during my 8 day stay. I could not be released because I could not swallow anything. I went in the hospital with no distress on Oct 29, came out Nov 6 with a feeding tube, paralyzed left vocal cords and larynx, frightening choking, left face, neck & ear numb, inability to lay flat, headaches, throat that is in constant discomfort, etc. My appointment they made for me showed I would see him at 8:30 and Michele at 9 on a Monday post op check up. He does not work on Mondays. Michelle reported to me that unfortunately it is back where it was before 100% blocked. Prior to surgery she told me it was 80% blocked and totally fixable. She would not address the difference of what she had told me. I had my issues written on a piece of paper, she did not address them except for the involuntary right hand movements. I was able to have the feeding tube removed by her at that appointment.My medical records with them are incomplete and not accurate. The doctor in Paducah who first saw me, said it 100% blocked and inoperable. He told me the truth. I am paying the price in my retirement years (69, now 70), with the distress that I did not have prior. Yes, everyone was nice to me, told me what I wanted to hear. But a good doctor would have sent me home saying, "you are in no distress, you are fortunate that the other arteries on the left are taking care of you, you have not had a stroke, you have no distress and a surgery will cause you side effects that you do not want." I could say more, but I hope if you are considering this doctor, you have other opinions. I could have suffered brain damage from having a surgery on a 100% blocked artery, this I am thankful.

Dr. Fisher is one of the greatest doctors I have come in contact with a few years ago, he took very good care of my Mother, when no one else could get her shunt to work he did, he is very good with vascular & he also kept her foot for another year after a doctor was ready to amputate it. He treated her & the family as we was his family. Thank you Dr. Fisher
