Caris helped us navigate the complexities of my father’s illness and made his final days as comfortable and peaceful as possible.
The staff's compassion and dedication were truly remarkable.
NHC Heartland LOVES working with Caris! All staff are awesome - from the liaison to the nurses to the social worker to the caregivers. Highly recommend!!!
Wonderful team to work with! I always feel comfortable reaching out to them with questions and concerns. Even when difficulties arise, they are open to discussion and working things out. I am so grateful to have them as an advocate for our patients.
Caris helped my 96 year old father have a peaceful, natural, pain free, loving, transition at the end of his long, amazing life on this planet. They were always just a phone call away to answer any questions. They called me a few days after my dad died to see if I needed any help. They called a few months later, and I just got a call one year later to see how I was doing, and to see if they could be of assistance. This how we all should exit this Earth when our time comes, peacefully, lovingly, and in a place that that we want to be, not in a hospital!
Horrendous experience!!! Nurses don't communicate well with nursing home staff. Meds not ordered properly and dying patient had to endure additional pain waiting for orders to get to 24hr pharmacy. 5 hr delay-Abysmal. No contact for seven days after patient died to give condolences, etc. Was as if we did not even work with them at all. AVOID!!!
Worst experience ever. Failed on every aspect of comfort in end of live care. In fact it was so bad the Doctor at Tri Star Hospital would not let them transport my mom from ICU. Complete incompetence! We changed mid stream to Willowbrook....
Unbelievable that a hospice care facility would fire one of their own for having cancer! These nurses get up before the sun, they skip lunch or cut it short, hold their bathroom breaks for hours and exhaust themselves physically because their patients needs come first. They pour their hearts into giving quality of life to their patients every day! Only to be fired due to being diagnosed with cancer and inability to work for a period of time while receiving chemotherapy.
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
