List of Centennial Neuroscience's Reviews
I am new to Nashville and was trying to establish care with a neurologist as I am a life long migraine patient. I tried calling this place incessantly only to be either disconnect or put on hold without any regard for my time. When I finally got my called answered she asked if I could be placed on hold and the person on the phone seemed irritated because I asked to not be placed on hold anymore. The doctors might be good here (?) but clearly they are understaffed and do not seem to have too much desire to help. After posting this review I went back to read other peoples' reviews and there is clearly a theme with office staff being rude, disrespectful or plainly not answering phones. Beware!
I’ve had an appointment for 6 months to see Dr. Dongas. Her team reached out and told me that she actually wouldn’t be in the day of my appointment and that I would need to re-schedule. I totally understand that things happen but I was shocked that when I re-scheduled I wasn’t given any priority and immediately moved back to the first available appointment in late October. In any professional scenario I feel like an effort and an exception would be made for the patient since I was not the one who had to reschedule. It’s unfortunate that that is how they run their practice.
Angie the receptionist is the worst. They supposedly not receiving my referral every time I call, so I had my PCM called while I was on the phone to see what excuse she would give her. Of course Angie tells my PCM that they have been having trouble with their fax machine, but not even 10 mins after talking to me before my PCM called, Angie was blaming Humana for not receiving my referral. So today 05/26/23 I called and Angie was rude a very disrespectful stating that they can’t see me without authorization, but you so call have been working on it.??? When it clearly states if you need medical information please call the number on the authorization formed you received. Once again I had a receptionist from my Dr Office call to see what was needed and once again… rude and disrespectful. Bottom line is I served this country for 20 years and all I wanted was to get treated for my severe migraines…. So thanks for nothing Angie.
I had the worst experience I've ever had in a doctor's office with Dr Wilson. First, the staff rarely answers the phone so I spent weeks calling and waiting and had to get my GPs office call to even make the appointment and had to call a lot to get someone to answer, then when scheduled, it was 4 months away. I understood the wait, as there are long waits everywhere right now. I was so excited when the appointment finally came! I arrive and sign in, wait approx 10- 15min before being given my paperwork. Then a few min later, I am called back before I'm finished with the paperwork in which the nurse (or medical assistant, I'm not sure) freaked a little but the desk staff said it was ok. Bring it back when I'm done which is fairly normal practice in other offices. I then get weighed and BP taken. This is when the bad experience started. The female staff member helping kept making comments on my weight until after 3 times I asked her to stop. The doc pops his head in several or more times while I am talking with the nurse, reminding her that he has to be somewhere (or leave) by 2. My appointment was scheduled at 1:30p and I wasn't brought back to the room until almost 2pm, so I'm not sure how he thought that would happen. When he came in to talk with me, he rushed me, minimized my issues, cut me off many times to tell me incorrect information about something he admitted was out of his scope of practice, told me the medicine I am taking doesn't work for what I'm taking it for (actually, yes it works fantastic for me), he kept cutting me off and focusing on the neuropathy, yet I wasn't able to tell him the slew of other symptoms that I have, and asked me about 4 times if I had a mental health therapist even though I answered him every time. I was shaking by then because my nerves were shot from the experience. He was only willing to change the medicine that I am already taking for another reason which I wasn't comfortable with but said he can suggest it to my PCP. Not willing to listen to my other symptoms, no investigation, no curiosity, no patience, and certainly little respect. And there's so much more to the story... So because HE had scheduling issues, I paid good money to be treated this way. This experience was so incredibly bad and I had waited so long in pain to see the only neurologist I can see in Nashville with my insurance, that I ended up crying in their office while waiting to be given the office managers info and having a full blown panic attack in the parking garage and another in the car on the way home while driving. This is not ok behavior for a medical care provider and can be dangerous to his patients, especially those with co-occuring illnesses. I am now looking into other options, as my left sided weakness and numbness (which he never addressed) is getting worse and causing more pain. I'm definitely willing to travel to be treated fairly and safely. You can't treat a patient safely without knowing their symptoms and history.
Dr. Wilson and Wendy are my superb providers. Answers questions and quickly communicates on the portal when needed!
Dr. Wilson is a fabulous dr who listens to any concerns and takes time to explain things to you.
The staff is great. I have had two situations in the last four years that required an immediate doctor visit. Each time, I was scheduled in same day. The nurse is brings me back at my scheduled appointment time, and Dr. Dongas is very prompt after the initial evaluation from the nurse.
Dr Wilson gave me a great exam. I would recommend him to anyone that might ask.
Dr. Wilson has been treating me for a few years now since I had suffered a Myasthenia Gravis crises. He has managed my MG and kept my disease under control with medication . He exhibits the knowledge of years of experience and modern methods for treating MG. I can't thank Dr. Wilson and staff enough for the care they give. May God bless them all for their work and devotion to the medical profession.
Dr. Dongas is personable , efficient, and thorough.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
