Was so excited to work here. Couldn’t wait to join the team. I have severe fibromyalgia. My first week I got strep and broke my back molar tooth. The stress of missing work caused my condition to flare. I could barely walk but went to work anyways with hospital notes for days I didn’t. My therapist encouraged me to be transparent with them about my condition so I did. They fired me for it. Too many days too much “personal”. I’ve never been fired in my entire life/career. I had a client that was also patient who relayed to me afterwards the facility was disclosing to outside parties that I had been fired earlier in the day. How humiliating. At one point was reprimanded and told “I am not your therapist” bc I was explaining why I missed work. Never thought this man was. I have excellent therapist I pay fortune for and I prefer her female. The lack of empathy in this place is scary. Especially for healing.

Excellent outpatient program in the knoxville area. Aftercare programs and alumni events are awesome. Shows they really care about well being of their residents. It’s all about long term sobriety. Can’t say enough good things about them.

Cumberland Heights is the premier SUD treatment provider in the southeast and is among the most well regarded throughout the nation. It provides a wonderfully therapeutic environment for care and healing and is staffed by a highly talented and compassionate team of people. As someone who has worked in the treatment field for 20+ years, I would confidently recommend it to anyone in need of care.
