Could not stand up straight could not walk could not sleep Dr Mathews understands the pain you are in he will show you with X-rays what can be done my surgery went well can stand and walk and sleep I feel better than I thought was possible would highly recommend Dr Mathews he has given me hope and a pain free life all I can say is thank you

Dr Mathew did a great job with my surgery on neck. My symptoms are all gone. I had 2 other Drs tell me my neck couldn't be fixed and that I would have to live with my pain.Dr Mathews gave me a 90% chane of success and he did just that. His team are awesome too. Great bedside manners.

In '04 he did a laminectomy on my spine. In' 06 he chopped me up with an fusion. He told me with that surgery I would be able to work to provide for my two children. I haven't worked since '03. When it was time for my follow up appointment. The receptionist called me the day before my appointment to tell me that he wasn't going to see me anymore and he wouldn't refill my pain meds. When I finally found a doctor, I was told that Douglas didn't do enough test to determine if I actually needed surgery. I took exrays and nothing else. I was in pain then and in pain now. Maybe he has learned over the years or I was poor and he didn't care. I took his word and I regret it everyday. I was one of his cadavers. The first time I seen him he only gave me muscle relaxers. I was on Medicade back then, I didn't have any say, I didn't have rights to a second opinion. He loves to cut staple and sew on a body.

I first used Dr. Mathews in 2017 and he did a fantastic job! So when I hurt myself again in 2022, it took me less than a second to decide to go see him again. As always, he had me up and moving, back to my daily life in no time. Dr. Mathews is kind, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and competent. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Mathews to everyone I meet that may need him.
