List of Dr. Jonathan D. Rotker's Reviews
Worst experience I ever had in my life. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy.
Just had my first colonoscopy with Dr. Rotker. I am completely happy with my experience his staff was very friendly and patient with me. The doctor himself came in and asked me if I had any questions. He explained what was going to happen and what to expect. He was very polite. Thank you
I love Dr. Rotker. He is very honest and straightforward and has helped me for over 12 years now.
Wow, this guy. I can't say this enough. FIND ANOTHER GASTROENTEROLOGIST. He must have fallen on hard times. I'll back up. I was supposed to get a colonoscopy by this guy almost 2 years ago, and I ended up not doing it because my new doctor didn't feel it was necessary, not that my insurance would cover it anyway at 45. So I cancelled it, told them my insurance wouldn't cover it, and then pretty much forgot about it and went on with my life. Then last week I got a letter from Dr. Rotker, and wow, just wow. It was the most aggressive, accusatory, and flat out rude money-grab of a letter I have ever received from a doctor. I have attached a picture of it to this review, read for yourself. I especially like how he says he's going to tattle on my to my doctor, not that he knows who my doctor is. Look at that letter and ask yourself, "Is this the person I want doing this procedure on me?"
Dr. Rotker is a joke of a doctor. DO NOT SEE HIM IF YOU HAVE THE CHOICE! Spare yourself the pain and see another doctor if at all possible. He is rude, rushes through appointments, and does not take time to answer patient questions. His staff is also ridiculously rude. He prescribed me antibiotics without much thought that made my severe GI symptoms even worse. And is also insanely paranoid about COVID-19. I rarely post reviews, but felt I needed to warn others of this quack. I would rate negative starts if I could.
Terrible doctor with rude staff. Do not see if you have the choice.
Dr. Rotker is an amazing doctor. He listens to everything that you have to say. Then comes up with a plan to get you feeling better. Thanks again
Good doctor.
I had been referred to a GI due to a 60lb weight loss within 10 mos. He clearly did not read anything that my doctor sent over and was extremely dismissive. He for whatever weird reason wouldn't examine me when asking my about my pain and I started pushing ON MYSELF to demonstrate where the pain started and radiated to. Which as a very young adult with minimal medical knowledge is not an appropriate to address or diagnosis any medical condition. I have had a kidney disease my whole life and am no strangers to doctors and something was extremely off with this doctor. I had a scope scheduled with him and after reading his reviews from several people on different websites I decided I did not feel comfortable going under anesthesia in his care and having him responsible for my medical decisions when I wouldn't be able to and felt that I could not trust him to do his job adequately enough to provide any form of solution to my health issues and truly feared he would make them worse.
I had a very bad experience with Dr Rotker. Even though I was wearing a face mask during my medical appointment, he asked me to put a second face mask on top of the one that I was wearing, because I told him that I haven’t received the Covid vaccine yet. He did not examine me at all, and he just spent about 5 minutes with me, as far away as he could from me, asking me a few questions about my symptoms. He ended up telling me those were reflux symptoms and that I should continue taking Lansoprazole for another 8 weeks, which I was already taking it for a long time. One doesn’t need a prescription for that. I was very disappointed that I received a $300 bill for 5 minutes of his time when he did absolute nothing!!!Today I just called to make an appointment with Dr Spiceland, which is other gastroenterologist in the same facility, and the receptionist denied me to make an appointment with this other doctor because “I was patient of Dr Rotker.” I explained my previous experience with Dr Rotker and why I wanted to try this other doctor but she was SO rude and denied my petition.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
