I was losing my sight due to a detached retina. My optometrist didn't think it was serious, but luckily Dr Arrindell knew exactly what was happening and took action. I was in surgery the next day, he tried to get an operating room that very day. Lucky for me, I still have my sight. Dr Arrindell was great in explaining what all would happen.

Dr. Arrindell and the other docs at TN Retina are great --- super-qualified, professional and patient-centered. I lost the central vision in my right eye in 1985. When my retina detached in my left eye last year, I was effectively blind. Two surgeries by a different retina group didn't solve the problem. But two surgeries by the TNR group and an ensuing cataract surgery have gotten me back to 20/20 vision. Dr. Arrindell was the central figure in that effort, for which I am, and will be, eternally grateful!

I saw Arrindell a few years ago in the middle of a difficult situation with my eye. I had experienced multiple detachments before that had been surgically repaired by a different specialist. In moving towns, I was in need of a new local specialist so I saw Arrindell off of a recommendation. I was experiencing extreme glaucoma and retinal trouble at the time and on my second visit to Arrindell, he told me I should consider just giving up and losing the eye (I was 21 at the time), then upped my eye drop dosage and said he'd see me in 3 months. Less than a week later, I was back, saw a different specialist, he recommended a glaucoma specialist, and now I still have my eye and it is stable. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. Give up should never be the first solution you try.

Dr Arrindell was patient and detailed in what procedures was needed to alleviate my fears of possibly going blind. He explained every question I asked regarding the pros and cons for injections into my eyes.

My first visit was great. Dr Arrindell was kind and explained all procedures and was understanding about my concerns of expense of procedures. I had an injection which was the first of 7 that it didn't hurt.

I saw Dr. Arrindell on referral from my optometrist for a retina "wrinkle". He was efficient, professional, and caring. He was in no hurry to recommend a surgery that I will eventually need but explained well what my expectations in vision should be. Put me on drops to help alleviate problem for several months before recommending surgery. Didn't work, but I have not had surgery yet.
