Her team at Vanderbilt were everything I could have hoped for. Dr Holt is an excellent surgeon and I wouldn’t have changed anything about my procedure.

She put her own convenience ahead of (my) patient safety when doing my surgery. Need I really say anything else? Ok I will add she lied to me as well. I might add I am a licensed medical profession of 30 years working in EMS.

She put her own convenience ahead of patient safety (mine) on the day of my surgery! She lied to me. She changed the anesthesia plan on the day of surgery to general anesthesia (instead of having a block) because she did not have the extra 20 minutes to do it the way she had promised me it would be done. That was to avoid GA and all the extra dangers that exposes you to. She also totally ignored the pain management plan that was written up her own hospitals anesthesia doctors. That left me in excruciating pain. So much pain that sent me into delirium and the ICU. Need I say more?

Dr. Holt is a very gifted surgeon and compassionate healer. She was clear and honest in conversations about my complicated issue, and I always left an appointment with the information I needed to make good decisions. I would recommend her highly, as well as her personable and competent staff.

I went to visit Dr holt for hip and knee issues.After taking X-rays one of her residents came in and spoke with me about my options. Then told me that Dr Hilt would be in momentarily to speak with me.After waiting 50 minutes for her to come in I left after finding no one in the halls or to ask if she was coming in or not.I was contacted 30 minutes after leaving by phone and wanted to know why I had left. That they had came in to check on me and tell me she would be there shortly.That’s a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes that they didn’t even know I wasn’t where or not not to mention telling me to stay or go.I find this very unprofessional and uncaring after driving 2.5 hours to see her.Guess I can just stick with my hometown unprofessional Drs that will butcher my knees and hips when it’s time.At any time someone could have stuck they’re head in and said she will be here in just a min.

I had a 42 year old hip revision. Everything went okay but of course had to slowly recover. I wouldn't hesitate to have her operate on me again.
