The absolute Best Epilepsy Neurologist ever! My son is now seizure free for one year, 4 months, and 3 days since this doctor wouldn't give up on him like so many neurologist had. He worked tirelessly to give my amazingly bright and caring son a 2nd chance in life! I am grateful beyond words to you Dr. Turk!!!! Update: TWO YEARS today that my son is seizure free!!!!💜 Update 2023- still healed Dr. Turk!

He is an amazing doctor while I was in the hospital for a week. He is very very calm and professional does his research throughly before given a diagnosis. He is very good at what he does.

He was extremely rude, called me from a private number to scold me, treated me like an inconvenience, especially if I asked questions. Released me as his patient before I even had time to report him, and then Vanderbilt had the audacity to deny my request for a new neurologist to maintain “consistent care” even though I barely get squeezed into their schedule and he had already released me as a patient. He puts his research over my years of first hand experience with my own epilepsy. He told me to be happy with having “only” a few seizures a day. The nicest part about Vanderbilt neurology is their secretaries. Everything else is inconsistent and disappointing.Update: after switching to a competent neurologist I went from 2-3 seizures a day to 2-3 a year. So yes, he was the problem

Amzing experience with this doctor today. I never had any doctor ask my so many questions and be insterested in so much detail about my seizures and other problems. I have full confidence in Dr. Sonmezturk. I am glad he moved to our area and he is my doctor.

Over the past 10 years I have been to many places including Mayo clinic and received no explainations or any diagnosis. Dr. Sonmezturk spent just about an hour with me and was fully focused on what my stroy was and what I was telling him. He examined me in detail and was able to give me a diagnosis. Everything made perfect sense when he explained what was hapening to me and my family.
