List of Jeffrey B. Carter's Reviews
Dr Carter operated on my husband’s impacted wisdom teeth. He was older before they caused trouble and didn’t get them out when he should. He is also a singer, and we were concerned about the nerves etc that could affect his singing. Dr. Carter was flawless. Healing easy. Perfect surgery. Years later we went to Dr. Carter to check on a possible salivary stone. Dr. Carter and his care Urged is to return to ENT which ended up saying my husband’s life as they found tonsil cancer. I believe in this doctor and always recommend.
It was a nightmare out of a horror movie, horrible bedside manners, I was not numb all the way before he jammed the need in my gums 4 times and 2 times in the roof of my mouth it felt like the fluid went all the way to my eye because of how deep he jammed the needle in my gum roof of the mouth. He was so rough he ended up cracking my temporary crown the pain was horrible and his female assistant was holding my arm saying how sorry she was and it would all be over soon. I will never ever let his hands anywhere near my mouth....my gums were In so much pain and were very swollen for over 4 weeks and they are now still tender to touch. How does he still operate with all the careless procedures he is doing?
HE WAS GREAT! GOT ALL MY WISDOM TEETH OUT NO PROBLEM! 10 STARS IF I COULD!!
I seen Jeffery Carter in Clarksville at clarksville modern dentistry just yesterday 3/9/21. I was having 5 teeth extracted and was little nervous. Everything went well and the whole team was nice. Theres hardly any swelling going on and im feeling much better already. The pain now is less then what it was with the busted teeth left in.
I had Oral surgery with Dr Carter 12 days ago. I had a large molar extracted and a Bone graft membrane. Even though the care and procedure itself went somewhat ok, I am giving him 1 star for his after care. I’ve had nothing but issues since the oral surgery. I called the ER number on day 2 because a stitch came out less than 24 hrs and the bleeding increased. I was told it was “fine”. I called on day 5. 7 hrs after I had called a completely different oral surgeon, not Dr Carter called me at 9:30pm. I told him about my symptoms and said I’m pretty sure it is infected. Both times he said my symptoms were normal (even though I knew they weren’t). I was having pus, extreme redness, swelling in gums, and pain and this was 5 days out from surgery. He wouldn’t take me seriously so, I saw my normal Dentist to have it looked at. As soon as he looked in my mouth he said “oh wow! It’s definitely infected!” He gave me a new antibiotic and told me to let Dr Carter know. I started the new antibiotic and when the new one wasn’t working I decided to notify Dr Carter again. I left 2 voicemails and was never called back. I contacted Dentists of Westwood to tell them what was going on. I told them how he isn’t taking my care serious and no one is doing any follow up when I call. They told me they would contact him and make sure Dr Carter himself called me back. Guess what?! He never did. I am positive I have a gum abscess, I am having bleeding, ear/jaw pain, swelling in my gums, as well as redness and no one that works with him is helping me. This is NOT ok. You can’t be a surgeon and then give NO follow ups or aftercare! I do not recommend ever seeing Dr Carter. i know 100% I have an bad infection and I am under his care.
I’ve left at least three voicemails on two different lines, left a message with the dentist I had my wisdom teeth removed at, AND called my regular dentist but I still can’t get a return call from this surgeon or his team. My stitches were put in the wrong place I think because my mouth appears to be healing where it shouldn’t, I’ve had a gaping hole since Day 3 nowhere close to the tooth that was pulled, the stitches were loose and rubbed holes in my gums, and I also have dry socket, but I have gotten NOWHERE on after care. Not a single call back. I’m worried about the long term consequences but I literally don’t know what else to try at this point to get seen? Maybe this review will get me a call back please? I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, I can’t speak, I can’t work, I can’t even drink water without wanting to cry. If you need your wisdom teeth removed, don’t work with a traveling oral surgeon I guess— particularly this one. I’m not even sure I want him to fix whatever is wrong after reading the rest of these reviews. I don’t want to have to take Tylenol and ibuprofen for longer than 10 days, but it’s already Day 6 and I think I need new stitches, so I guess I’ll start over with a whole new surgeon and send the bill to Dr. Carter. I literally feel hopeless tonight.
Absolutely do not recommend please listen to the bad reviews it was horrible. I had a tooth extraction this morning and I will never go back to this surgeon. I regret doing it. Honestly with I would have paid the 1500 dollars for a crown. I was not fully numbed, which they didn't even check beforehand. It felt rushed and now I am terrified of the future problems I am going to have because of this. I was being told I was just feeling pressure but absolutely not. After yelling out some others came in to see how it was coming. They gave me a local two more times. I felt those too. It was all just horrible. By the end thankfully I was numbed (a bit too late). I have anxiety and I didn't even imagine it would be this bad.
Amazing care by Dr. Carter he is amazing!!! Wow what a great team! So much efficiency and great care by his team!!
Absolutely the best! Dr. Carter and his team are fabulous. I had the best experience and appreciate how I was cared for.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
