John Shaw's Online Review Report Card

I am truly blown away by the lack of care, regard, and COMPETENCE from these people!!!! Truly… I have never met less caring or more irresponsible staff. Especially Stacy. Fire her. I go in for an appointment A MONTH AGO only because I needed prescription refills. One month later I do not have them and can’t get a call back from anyone. I have to get a medication advance to make it through the weekend. I call first thing Monday morning and try to express my frustration. Instead of listening to me, STACY is snippy and curt. She cuts me off and when I tell her she needs to listen she hangs up on me. I try calling back but she has taken her phone off the hook. I finally get through again and someone else talks to me while she is in the background relaying her answers to the woman who then relays them to me (Stacy, you’re a BIG child). When I finally express the situation to the woman and tell her I’m going to write this review she does not apologize but instead says, “Let us know where you’d like us to send your records.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! How did these ladies get hired and especially in the medical field where sick, hurting people have to deal with them??? I reached my limit, called them fat something or others and hung up. I’m done. And sadly, this is not a reflection on Dr. Shaw but on his staff. I hope he sees this.

Block off the ENTIRE DAY I’m not kidding. He’s a nice guy but my GOD o spent an hour waiting because he legit was talking to other employees in the hallway for an hour and forgot he had a patient waiting. The longest I’ve ever waited was from 10am to 3pm!! I am NOT KIDDING!

Outstanding bedside manner, Dr Shaw has given me great care over the years… if he runs late to appointments, it’s because he cares to take the time to give each patient what they need… has gone above and beyond in the past on follow ups, etc.

I've been with Dr. Shaw for 25 plus years now and he's the best. Takes his time with you, thoughtful, and super personable. Hope I'm with him another 25 years. Wouldn't want anyone else!

I have been seeing Dr Shaw for over 22 years. He is the best Dr of all time. He is patient, kind, takes time with all his patients and is completely respectful at all times. When you have seen him as long as I have he has become like family. He has been there for me through many ups and downs through many years of many medical issues and personal family issues. He always cares deeply for all his patients. He is now my daughters dr also and she loves him as much as i do. I moved from Nashville 10 years ago to GA 6 hours away and still see Dr Shaw. Would never change Drs as long as he is practicing. Keeping you always in my prayers. He is simply the best.

Yes, you have to wait, at first it was an issue; however when Dr. Shaw spent time with me he reviewed all my medical and medication history and went over explaining issues with me. Felt like I was included and he spent over an hour with me and it was time for the facility to close. He and his staff stayed and finished another 30 minutes with me. I am very happy with him as my primary care provider and to me is worth the wait. He spends a lot of time with each person, rare anymore.

Dr John Shaw is consistently thorough, personable, professional, attentive, listener, proactive, hard working, thoughtful, and respectful.

Good luck actually getting an appointment and if you rely on meds I would find a new doctor because I’m not overreacting when I say the office will cancel with no notice or solution. The receptionists do not care at all. The doctor runs minimum 2hrs go 4 hrs late even for telehealth appointments and I don’t think this is his fault but more so his front desk staff. It’s unfortunate cause he is a good doctor but it’s too much of a risk.

Avoid. Front desk is chaotic and can’t comprehend scheduling not sure why they’re employed

He’s very nice if you actually get to see him. Front desk workers are beyond horrible. They don’t care about scheduling whatsoever so be prepared to have appointments cancelled within one day prior. They don’t care if you need medication or not. If you do manage to keep your appointment then be prepared to wait anywhere from MINIMUM 1 hour to possibly 3. SHOCKED at these reviews.
