Dr. Higdon performed my reconstruction surgery following my double mastectomy. I can’t say enough great things about him and his team! Of course he is an extremely skilled surgeon but he is also incredibly patient, kind and understanding. He made me feel comfortable and confident in his care. Dr. Higdon always took the time to listen to my concerns and answer every single question. His nurses and PAs are wonderful as well. They always respond quickly to messages/questions.

Dr.Higdon was very thorough answering all of my questions and also my husbands. Providing details on how the procedure would go for me and giving me time to decide if I wanted to go through with it. All of my appointments were on time including my procedure. Post surgery I am so happy with my results especially with The immediate pain relief and confidence boost. I do not regret picking Dr.Higdon myself for the procedure. He is the guy for the job. If in the future I have any procedure hoping it will be with him.

I was referred to Dr. Higdon from another surgeon for muscle repair, hernia repair, tummy tuck and lipo. From the moment I made my appointment had my pre op, him and his staff answered all of my questions and made me feel So comfortable. I kept calling before surgery with a million questions and panicking, they always reassured me and made my nerves calmed. The day of surgery I was a mess, Dr. Higdon and his staff calmed me right down. The after care by his staff was the best I have ever have. I had questions a week after surgery and would call and email and they always answered. Every post op appointment I have had him and his staff have answered all my questions, and dealt with my panicky butt. I am thinking about breast implants now and I would not go/nor trust anyone else but Dr. Higdon and his staff. Hands down they are the best ever.

In 2013 when searching for a plastic surgeon to perform the numerous surgeries required for bilateral breast reconstruction, I knew I preferred a caring and personable highly skilled doctor, and when we met Dr. Higdon at Vanderbilt, my husband and I agreed he was the plastic surgeon for me. My husband and I always asked lots of questions, and we even made notes during every medical visit. Dr. Higdon and his staff answered all of our questions. Without giving lots of detail, I will say my case is complicated, and on 2 different occasions when unexpected issues required emergency care, Dr. Higdon responded quickly and took good care of my needs. He required physicians training under him to provide the same high level of care and responsiveness. Throughout the numerous surgeries, I followed all of Dr. Higdon's instructions, and my husband and I are very pleased with the results. It is 2022, and Dr. Higdon continues to be my plastic surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Higdon.

Dr. Higdon was meticulous in my reconstruction and lift, following lumpectomy. I am an APRN, and I am very pleased with the aesthetic outcome of my surgery, and Dr. Higdon was able to preserve sensitivity in both breasts. He is down to earth and approachable, and he and his nurses are compassionate and caring.

The day I meet Dr. Higdon. I felt completely comfortable. After breast cancer I never felt complete as a woman. My reconstruction was bad to say the least.Dr Higdon fixed my breast, my sides, my life.My surgery turned out amazing !!I am so happy with the outcome.I feel beautiful again inside and out.He is amazing.
