Mary E. Keown's Online Review Report Card

I saw Dr. Keown all the way from childhood to 18. I was once very aggressive body shamed at 16 years old for shaving my public hair in front of my mother. It was embarrassing and I still remember every moment 15 years later. I did not enjoy her as a doctor at all. My weight was constantly brought up with no advice on how to change it, my choices were always wrong, and the visits were always dreaded. No one should feel that way at a doctor, especially a child.

Best pediatrician ever! She is so compassionate with all her patients.

I am thirty years old and just now finding out that I have EDS a rare, serious connective tissue disorder. I started showing signs of EDS when I was five weeks old and continued to show signs while I was under Dr. Keown's care for eighteen years. This was overlooked and my mother was told "it wasn't that bad because it wasn't cancer". No, I don't have cancer and I understand that is very serious but there are other serious health issues that aren't cancer. If your child has some run of the mill health problem then Dr Keown is great but as far as her taking anything seriously that isn't easily explained or requires further probing this is not the doctor for you. I have now had ten surgeries at thirty years old. Many of those could have been prevented if we had known about EDS much sooner as EDS is a progressive illness.

Dr Keown is wonderful. Took care to make everyone feel comfortable and care was very personalized. Would not ever go to another doctor.

Dr. Keown is awesome! She has taken such good care of all 3 of my kids from birth to puberty.

Dr. Keown has taken care of me since I was born, and now she cares for my son. She’s family! She is kind, compassionate, very knowledgeable, and takes the time to care for both our son and his parents. She answers our questions throughly and cares for our son as if he were her own. We are lucky to have such an amazing doctor!

Dr. Keown is an incredible pediatrician with a lot of patience and caring nature. Dr. Keown goes out of her way to always be available for our child.

Dr Keown was my children’s pediatrician and is now my grandsons. She is an excellent doctor who focus and commitment to her patients is unmatched by any other Doctor have have seen. Her experience and commitment to the highest quality of care was demonstrated when she cares for my grandson who has CF. She always have time to explain and answer questions from all of us. The supports the whole family. I am comforted have her take care of my grandson just as she took care of my sons.

Excellent clinician. Warm and friendly. Put my son at ease and explained everything to us so we both could understand. Would not want to go to another pediatrician. We love Dr Mary!

We LOVE Dr. Keown! She has been seeing our son since birth, and treats him like her own! When we were hospitalized, she’d come to see him and check on him constantly! When our son was diagnosed with CF, she even called us to check on us. She takes the time to care for our child, but she goes above and beyond to care for us as well! She’s family to us! We feel privileged to have such a kind and compassionate doctor and her incredible team caring for our son!
