Dr Hartman I had surgery on my first eye a week ago and have my next surgery in one week. Dr Hartman is an unbelievable professional and very caring health care provider and surgeon. He has such a wonderful calming personal personality mixed with miraculously talented surgeon skills. I highly recommend him and would not want anyone else for my eye care professional.

mr I signed up for cataract surgery on both my eyes a mth apart. I was quoted by 2 people in the office a price of $4,000/eye because I was told that insurance covered cataract surgery but not Lasik. After all the bills came in the first eye cost me $5,500. The office manager basically told me to pound sand. Needless to say I canceled the second eye. The craziest part of it was Dr. Hartman billed my insurance company $1,500 for the cataract surgery and then billed me $3,150 in the side. So he charges 3 times as much for his labor if he uses the laser instead of cutting the cataract out himself. Then of course I had additional charges from the surgery center and anesthesiologist. Just be warned.

I have seen Dr. Hartman for over 3 years. I initially presented 2 weeks following an accident, getting soil in my eye. It had been treated as a bacterial infection by my optometrist. This resulted in a fungal infection, ulceration of my cornea, glaucoma, and a cornea transplant. Dr. Hartman stayed after hours to wait for me to travel an hour to his office for my 1st appt. He answers all questions and responds quickly to concerns. He explains some very technical information clearly and utilizes visual aids to help the lay person understand. I particularly was pleased that he prayed with me prior to surgical procedures. He has never omce given up. I had only shadow vision and currently test at 20/40. Great ophthalmologist!

Amazing Care Dr. Hartman is a caring, knowledgeable, and humble doctor. He has gone the extra mile for me more than once, and I’ll never leave his practice. He restored my vision from legal blindness to 20/20 in one eye and 20/15 in the other. He prayed over me before surgery, met me in his office after hours when I had a rare complication, and has listened to my every question with attention and kindness. Sometimes the office gets a little busy. I have been there when the other doctors have left him to handle all the appointments with little notice. I don’t mind. Waiting for him is worth it.

Worst Medical Appointment In A Long Time This was the worst medical appointment I have had in a long time. We got to Dr. Hartman’s office 15-20 minutes early to fill out paperwork and STILL had to wait 2 hours to see the doctor. The nurse even made a joke “We’ve saved the bessst for last!”. Nope, ma’am, not funny. When the doctor did finally walk in, he seemed rushed and spent less than 5 minutes with me. Then he started to rush back out before abruptly stopping in the doorway to look partially over his shoulder and ask if I had questions. Then he continued to hurry on his way and that was it. I asked if I could have an eye patch in the office since I was experiencing light sensitivity and the nurse just haded me gauze and a roll of medical tape to do it myself. Over 2.5 hours total time there. Almost no time with him and little actual interaction. No apologies from him or the office staff. Will be looking for another provider in the future.

Dr. Hartman removed cataracts from both of my eyes. He has the most caring, concerned bedside manor you could find anywhere. He explained every step of the procedure, for the time I was aware, He had a prayer with me both times before my procedures and made me feel comfortable and relaxed both times. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional who knows what he is doing and obviously loves helping restore sight to those of us who desperately need help.
