Excellent provider
Good night I have special needs and my fiance and me are having a baby and your hospital is not helping me one bit my heart to get her email can you please give her a freeway and just get her in today to see a see the doctor because they are really making me frustrated so much that I'm like having a midlife crisis today
This is the worat hospital I’ve ever been to, I had a bad life altering experience!!
We had to bring our son in after a minor accident on a scooter. Dr hogan his staff and even police and security personnel were super nice and helpful!!!!!! Really really nice and attentive!!!! Thank you!!
I’ve only been to this hospital twice, once in 2022 and again last night, February 28, 2025 and I will never come back to this hospital again. Firstly let me start off by saying the nurses were great. They came in, did their jobs, were polite and friendly. If I was short or cold it was because I was in an incredible amount of pain that I felt was being completely dismissed and undermined by the attending Dr. Ryan Johnson. Dr. Ryan Johnson was incredibly dismissive and rude during my visit. I had just returned from a trip and as it was Friday, well after midnight, my only option to get seen was the ER. Up to that point I’d tried everything to remedy the pain I was feeling which was only increasing with each day. Dr. Johnson took a two second look in my throat, palpated my neck quickly and said everything seemed fine. When I didn’t seem enthused with his care, he said I looked confused. I said I wasn’t confused but insisted that this pain was very present and felt like something stuck in there, that something was very wrong. He gave yet another dismissive and frankly demeaning response and left only for an X-ray technician to suddenly appear. I had no idea any x-ray was being ordered until that moment which I didn’t appreciate the lack of communication from Dr. Johnson with regard to my care. He also ordered a steroid shot that did nothing for the pain I was feeling. He sent me home with paperwork stating I had something called globus pharyngis, the sensation you have a lump in your throat that doesn’t cause pain. I am in tremendous pain. I went to Urgent Care the following morning and they were surprised Dr. Johnson did not order a swab of my throat to check for strep nor did he even look in my ear to rule out an ear infection. It turns out I do have a bad ear infection which could likely explain the pain in my throat. To the nurses who helped me last night, thank you. I appreciate you. However, never in my life have I felt so belittled, dismissed and unheard by a medical professional. Dr. Johnson should be ashamed of the care he provided or lack thereof.
Absolute amazing hospital that I didn’t even know existed!!! The staff is extraordinary!!! The love and care shown to the patients and their families are beyond words. The parking/valet service is incredible - Paul went above and beyond for everyone. He was so very helpful, friendly, attentive, polite, and understanding. Thanks to all of you for doing such great work in this community!!!
Awful just went to another doctor because he didn’t even looked at my wrist know I have to wait another whole month to heal because he didn’t do his job, a disgusting person
The best hospital or medical staff I have ever been treated by. After having a terrible day, and needing to come into the hospital, I can't say how thankful I am to have been given the quick and friendly service that I received. My doctor, along with the staff including Victoria, Linsley, Duane, and the others, were all incredibly kind, outgoing, and very much went out of their way to help me. Thank you!!!
I’ve never had a bad experience with this hospital….i was born here and had 3 of my children here and went to the clinic here (the old general hospital) on hermitage ave….i go to the orthopedic clinic at meharry/general and I have some wonderful doctors and nurses
If I could give the rheumatologist 0 stars I would! First off I was told that I was going to be seeing Susan Kroop and ended up seeing Alexander Shahin. He pretty much told me that all my symptoms were from being over weight and that I didn't even have a autoimmune disease and that you can't gain weight with an autoimmune disease so I shouldn't be here. Acted like my dr didn't know what she was doing and acted like she was stupid even tho she's tested me multiple times for autoimmune diseases. He didn't even bother to give me an exam or anything. I felt like I was being judged for being a little overweight because everything was about my weight and acted like if I just lost weight I wouldn't have any of these issues. I waited a whole year for this appointment just to pretty much get called fat. I left this place crying.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
