Nashville General Hospital's Online Review Report Card

I hate yet to receive a follow up call from the patient care team. It has been over two weeks since my complaint. This hospital is disgusting unprofessional and lazy. I have attached photos to show the level of care this place provides. I was sent here against my will and received a level of care found in 3rd world countries.

The staff was very nice and my appointments had all gone well so I didnt hesitate to schedule My procedure there. They were unorganized did not know where I needed to be for the procedure. We waited a long time. I was finally taken back for my procedure everything was fine until recovery. No one let my husband know I was out if surgery or I was okay nothing . The pants I brought to wear home they allowed me to wear during the surgery got very wet along with the hospital gown I had on so I asked the nurse to ask my husband to go get me some pants and explained why. She left me laying there wet for a very long time until I finally ask the nurse of someone across from me to help me get out of the wet clothes. Really disappointed with the experience. I would never have another surgery there.

The people there are very professional and friendly. Theres really not much else I can say except that they do their jobs and they do them well.

If it came down to life or death and the two options were to choose between me receiving care from this medical facility and expecting that medical care to be codedbilled properly to my insurance so I would not be left with an astronomical bill due to improper handling of the coding to my medical records ———— or going to a McDonald’s I’d chose death with a Big Mac and large coke because at least the people working the counter would get the order wrong not fix it and it only be 5$ as opposed to 4000 and long wait times in the phone.

I’ve tried to contact this hospital regarding employees sending threats to people and nothing has been done. I’m sorry but if your a nurse and your sending threats to people from work it needs to be handled.

My Father currently a patient there on the 6th floor. He had surgery where a tube was placed in his throat which caused a lot of complications. He had trouble breathing and his lips began to swell. He complained to the nurse and intern that was on duty Monday and the two of them laughed and brushed him off. He remained in pain for at least 1213 hours. The Doctor that was on that shift finally stepped in examined my father and noticed that he could not even see the tube so he immediately ordered an Xray. My father was thankful for this doctor and while thanking him this same nursed laughed and said “Mr. Jackson your still alive you’re not going to hell yet”. Very unprofessional AND not displaying any empathy or concern for a patient which by the way is very scary The Xray determined that tube was severely knotted and misplaced. I need answers starting with the name of those that were responsible for the care of my father when this incident Occurred. I expect to hear from someone ASAP.

The front desk and medical staff were amazing while I was in the E.R for an acute asthma attack. However I was supposed to follow up especially since Im still having a very difficult time breathing and I cant get a hold of anyone. Ive called left messages called different numbers to which I only received rude and short answers that they cant help me before hanging up. Im pretty frustrated at this point. I would leave a 5 star for the competent care I did receive if I could get this resolved.update I ended up having to go back to E.R but again received excellent care there and was able to follow up. Davina set up a follow up appointment for the same week so this was resolved.

What a joke your emergency room is It’s so sad y’all need money every year but won’t help people.

Terrible experience. I was visiting from somewhere else and had an emergency. My nurse in the ER was very helpful and kind but the staff at the front desk and the billing service wereare extremely rude and refused to work with us. This was a couple months ago and the financial people are still insisting on being difficult. Thankful for my nurse though and helping me feel somewhat better enough to get back home and get proper medical help.
