I was referred to Dr Sonkin years ago. I required surgery which Dr Sonkin did an excellent job. He had told me I probably wouldn’t see near as well out of the affected eye but I ended up seeing 20/25! I highly recommend him.

Dr. Peter Sonkin has been my retinologist for the past 22 years. His dedication to the health of my eyes has allowed me to see when I was faced with the uncertainty of sight in one of my eyes. His kindness and care for everyone shines bright. My first time, he told me he would need to give me a shot in my eye, and I was so scared. The appointment was made, and when that day came, he was careful and gentle and talked me through each step. I barely knew when he gave me the shot. There is more to being a doctor than curing, and Dr. Peter Sonkin shows what that extra care is all about.

Dr. Sonny has been my retina specialist for over a decade. During this time he has performed multiple procedures for both my eyes. He has an exceptional ability to perform tasks while also maintaining communication with patients during procedures. I would recommend Dr. Sonkin and the staff at Tennessee Retina to anyone with vision concerns or retinal conditions seeking expert, compassionate care.
