List of Robert D. Collins's Reviews
Dr. Collins is incredible. He is so patient and kind. He really listened to my symptoms and didn't dismiss me simply because my lab work didn't align perfectly with a diagnosis. Since he started me on the right lupus medication I have gotten my life back. My only complaint is that the office is so warm but the nurse told me that he does it for his RA patients, because cold is so difficult for their joints. So it's just another way he looks out for the people he cares for. Wish I could give him an extra star!

Dr Collins is the most caring doctor I have ever seen. He is patient, kind, and he takes his time with you, because he is so thorough with his care. I had an amazing experience.
Had a appointment today and I had a wonderful experience. Staff was very friendly and treated me with a lot of respect. Doctor Collins is amazing. So happy the blond receptionist is no longer with the practice. Now customer service has returned to what it use to be.
The nurse, Lizzie was great and so nice. My appointment with Dr Collins was very informative. I didn’t feel rushed and he took the time to explain things and treatment options with me. Follow up has been outstanding. I drove from Alabama to see him Bc the options are limited in North Alabama. They have been very accommodating with virtual visits and letting me have my labs performed here at home. Awesome Dr and staff!!! Would highly recommend!
I had my last appointment in December where we talked about starting a new medication to alleviate the symptoms of my lupus.I’ve been back & forth with them since. They said the dr needed to fix something.. then said Kroger would be giving me a call in three days (January 15) and I called them again after the three days because no they hadn’t called me.. then Allie the receptionist says oh hmm I don’t see what medication you’re talking about!?!?! And that they’d have to talk to the doctor. This was the beginning of February. I’ve been calling and my calls are not returned, I’m at a complete loss!
The doctor is very good but the office is disorganized and absent. These are tough times and I understand but they don't have an answering service. You can't even leave a message because all of the mailboxes and full and even when they are there they rarely pick up, or maybe they aren't there? They sent in the wrong prescription in and I was unable to get hold of anyone, even calling the Dr. directly didn't work. My son missed a dose of his meds. FACT: This is a medical practice and it is not ok to leave the phones without even an answering machine. I think perhaps they are out of business? I don't know. Very unprofessional.
I had bad experiences. Once I called in to cancel an appt for the next day while I was get IV fluids at Fast Pace for a bad virus I had causing diarrhea, as I told the receptionist, offering to let her speak to the nurse. She blatantly told me if I didn't come there next day I might not be able to come back at all. I'm not sure that I ever did. Also the doctor promotes himself on his empathy and I find it not quite natural and honestly a bit creepy.
Very unhappy with everything and everyone at this practice. Dr. Collins is very kind and patient. He is also very thorough in answering questions. He never acts condescending, which is wonderful coming from a doctor. However, like many of the other low score reviews I can't get my medication. I leave messages, I sent messages to the portal. Now my messages are deleted and it won't let me send one. I can't get my medications, the office is always chaotic and the nurse never seems to remember from one minute to the next what she is doing. There is no way to reach Dr. Collins directly, Noone to answer the phone. Supposedly someone takes a message but I never get a call back. I have been trying for a month to get the new prescription the Dr said he'd give me for pain, but still not called in. I was told by the nurse that Xeljanz wasn't covered in my new prescription plan but when I call my insurance to find out why, they say it is, they just need the Dr to say why I need it. But I still can't get the nurse to call it in. I'm moving on, can't deal with this mess anymore.
He is so kind and patient with me. Caring and understanding. He is very smart in his profession. I like that he takes his time with each patient and you never feel rushed when you are with him. I feel like I can call the office any time I have a question or concern. I would highly recommend him to anyone!! Liz is so kind and such a sweet people person. She makes you feel like family and just so relaxed. She is always willing to go beyond what is expected of her to help me out in any way she can! She has such a sweet disposition!! I feel so comfortable and relaxed and look forward to coming to Dr. Collins' office !! They are all awesome and my visits are so much fun, even if it is a doctor's visit!!! It is that way because of Dr. Collins and his staff!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
