I understand that there may be legal or ethical restrictions in some cases, but I believe it is important for patients to be informed upfront that the doctor may refuse treatment if they decline an X-ray. This would help avoid unnecessary appointments and wasted time. Additionally, your statement that “the doctor could not move ahead without a clear picture of the affected tooth’s overall health” is inaccurate. There was no “affected tooth” in terms of health concerns—I accidentally chipped the bonding on my tooth, not the tooth itself. There was no underlying issue that needed evaluation. The bonding simply needed to be redone, as I’ve had it repaired in the past without requiring an X-ray. This experience felt dishonest and like a tactic to push unnecessary charges. Had I been told in advance that I would be turned away without an X-ray, I would not have wasted my time. I hope my review helps others make a more informed decision before scheduling an appointment.

Disappointing and Dishonest Experience I had a very frustrating experience with this dental office. When I called to make my appointment, I specifically asked if an X-ray would be necessary for a chipped tooth with bonding (my actual tooth did not chip - the bonding chipped), and I was told it was not required. I called to schedule an appointment after looking on my insurance website for a dentist; and scheduled it the day after I called. I then asked to make sure my insurance was taken and gave them my member id. They said it was accepted. They also told me their new location was 4 minutes away from the place it “was previously”. (Was always there). It was a 45 minute bike ride from the “old location” that I’m glad I didn’t take because when I got there after my girlfriend offered to drive me, the insurance was magically not taken. And they tried charging me 100$ for the first exam. What a waste and a scam.
