List of Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Reviews
My husband has been since Tuesday. We want to thank each and everyone from the Er , nurses,Dr's, and all the staff of Vanderbilt everyone has very compassionate and understanding of my husband's needs. We have had excellent care here. But unfortunately when I leave to go home to get back to work the care and compassion got bad the nurse's were hateful. But that's how it goes when a patient is left there alone. Because they know they Cando what they want and no one will know .
I want to thank the nurses that where always checking on me and everything was good apart from the student nurses I didn’t know I was going to have they where not the best
My wife got COVID while 39 weeks pregnant so the DR scheduled an induction we got to the hospital at 8 pm on 12/31/2020 ended up staying until the 3rd of 2021 The hospital billed my wife for her entire stay dated for 12/31/2020. Then they billed my daughters to 2021 and the provider billed for my wife also to 2021. This caused me to have to pay 2 deductibles and not reach my out of pocket. basically because they split the bill between two years i didnt reach my max out of pocket which would have capped the birth to 6500.00 now i have to pay nearly 9000.00The whole thing that's not sitting right with me is that we were only there from 8-12 on the 31st of 2020 and had my daughter on 1/1/21. yet the hospital is billing mu insurance company nearly 30,000.00 for 2020.While the drs and nurses may be the best around town, the admin and billing dept care nothing about any patient!!!A BUNCH OF CROOKSMy God have mercy on your soulsI would look elsewhere for your medical care
No kind of organization or compassion .Hospital looks dingy . Tv don’t work no remote ask numerous times and nothing ..my daughter ask for some socks and the nurse said she would come back and never brought the socks., not very professional and their customer service sucks.
Read in the news they took a patient off the transplant list for not receiving the covid vaccine.
I’m not just an employee but also have been a patient here. I was involved in a traumatic car accident and life flighted here, unbeknownst to me because I was in a coma. The staff in the trauma unit, SICU, and ICU went above and beyond. The surgeons are skilled at the art of repair. I fully believe that God and the Vanderbilt medical staff are the only reasons I’m still alive. Now that I work here I see behind the scenes and the nurses and doctors are just magnificent. They really care about people and do their best to treat and accommodate. Wish I could give infinite stars to this place.
I recently had a Bronchialscopy on 11/3. The care and concern was above and beyond what I expected. I was overwhelmed by the professionalism, kindness and friendliness of my care team. Choosing Vanderbilt Health Care is the best possible decision I could have made to take care my cancer diagnosis. My highest praise goes out to Dr. Katherine Beckerman and her staff for seeing to my every need and getting me the proper care to insure my recovery from my cancer. I'm a highly satisfied patient.
All the staff have been very kind. Their ER is strict with its policies but helpful and provide attention to patients in order of urgency. All get called into triage very quickly. I am thankful for all the support the staff have provided these past few days. This is a Regional Medical Center with helicopters flying in and out all day and even through the night. Lots of specialists that consult with each other here as well. Great experience thus far considering our unfortunate lcircumstances.
It is a great place if running on an appointment in reasonable time this visit took 2 hrs
Having lived in Nashville for quite a few years I have ended up at a few of the hospitals in the area for various functions. What I can tell you, though, is that not once have I had a good experience with Vanderbilt. From bills for non-existing services to shady billing practices(double billing for the same service/interesting use of CPT codes) to extraordinarily awful experiences in the ER(go else where and thank my later), avoid Vanderbilt facilities for all day to day health issues.I have had a few friends end up there for life threatening illnesses and situations and they have had great experiences. But for anything else, run like the plague(pun intended)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
