I wish all doctors could be like Dr Byrd. He is kind and listens to his patients. He allows you to be involved in decisions about treatment. Most of all he tries to improve your quality of life while dealing with these disabling diseases. I hope he never retires because he’s one that’ll be hard to replace.

I have been seeing Dr. Byrd for the last two years. He has helped me tremendously. I had seen another Doctor for 5 plus years, and never got any relief! Dr. Byrd continues to try and find ways to keep me going, and working full-time. I was ready to throw in the towel, and go on disability. I am not in remission, and I still have a few bad days here, and there, but overall I feel way better than I did. I think I have tried just about every biologic out there, and never got any relief. He has diagnosed me with a different type of Arthritis, than what I had been told I had for years.Thank you, for all you do for me Dr. B and Staff!! You all are awesome, and I would recommend you to anyone!

SIMPLY THE BEST! I would not be around to tell the story if I had stayed w the rheumys in HSV. Had been in ICU, on oxygen r/o ALS. 2005/2006 I was fortunate to have gone to Vandy where Dr. Byrd was & followed him into private practice. As a retired RN, I feel qualified to say that he’s the very best in knowledge, judgement, listening to pt & learning the whole patient in front of him.

Dr Byrd is just wonderful. He listens then makes recommendations afterwards. I always feel he has my personal best interests in mind. Always answers emails promptly. Works to explore all possibilities with regard to proper diagnosis and treatment. One of the best n i do not say that lightly as i am a retired RN.
