Had my first appointment with Dr. Spiker in January 2020 for a routine annual physical. She is now part of Healthstar Physicians located in Newport, TN. This was my first wellness visit since starting Medicare. The office seemed to run efficiently and there was quite a bit of verbal interaction of questions and answers with both the tech and Dr. Spiker. The physical exam only included her listening to my lungs and heart sounds with a stethoscope. Blood was drawn and I received the results within a few days. There was no chest x-ray but there was a 12-lead ECG performed at my request. I am a retired paramedic and am able to interpret 12- leads to a higher level than most non-cardiologists. My concern is that my ECG showed evidence of left atrial hypertrophy which was not recognized by whomever interpreted my ECG in the office plus I was charged $40.00 for the incomplete interpretation of which Medicare only paid $30. Wellness visits are supposed to be covered at 100%!

She examined my step father and my husband. She took time to explain things, and listen to their issues. She reviewed their lab work, and the staff notified us promptly.

I saw Katherine spiker just to get blood work for thyroid , she told me I needed to loose weight which is not true , Iam am smaller than her , then she told me my insurance company said I had to have a complete physical , I called my insurance company they said that was MY choice , so I guess that means she lied , have not and will not go back to her , she also told a friend of mine she needed to loose weight which she Does Not !! I guess Mrs. Spiker thinks she had the perfect body !
