List of Donald Patterson's Reviews
Dr. Patterson was kind And listened to everything I needed to tell him as I was a new patient. I felt very comfortable with him and his expertise. He’s a likable person and I am so happy we were able to establish him as our PCP. I would highly recommend him!
I was scheduled to see Dr.Patterson on 9/2 at his Nolensville location/office; however I wasn’t familiar w/the location & my GPS was taking me all around the world so I called the office to ask for better directions or perhaps a landmark; the receptionist advises me of the landmark…so I go on to tell her that I was a few minutes away & she says ok “we’ll see you shortly”…well not even a minute later I get a call back from the office but the phone only rings once & the caller hangs up; so I assumed that maybe it was done by mistake so I arrive at my appointment (keep in mind that M I’m still within my 15 min grace period) the receptionist tells me that the doctor won’t be seeing me today bc I’m 15 mins late & I would need to reschedule my appointment. I explained to her that I was still within my grace period & she went to go ask the doctor would he see me & she comes back to advise that he said “NO”!! She says I sent you the cancellation text message after I called you back & you didn’t answer…I advised her that I didn’t get the text until I was walking in their building…the text message came at 9:23 my appointment was at 9:15; the text message stated that my appointment was being cancelled due to me being 15 mins late!!! How is that even possible when my appointment wasn’t until 9:15 & you sent the text at 9:23 that’s only 8 mins late ?? if you didn’t want to see me or take on any new patients that should’ve been stated when I made my appointment. I wouldn’t recommend this MD to anyone. The receptionist is beyond rude & that’s unacceptable since she’s the first person you see when you enter into the office. There was no warm greeting at all…BIG RED FLAG!! MORAL OF THE STORY ?? DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME coming here!!
Doctor was great but front office staff one of the ladies was a little off to me sort of like an attitude that she didn't feel like dealing with me. A watch and she interact with other patients and she was fine with them so I don't know if she just had an off day or an off day with me but I didn't care for it and it's the one that checks you in at the front other than that the rest of the staff was great.
Dr Patterson spent a significant amount of time with me as he does every time, I did not feel rushed. I had previously visited a nearby clinic several times before seeing him and he was able to to educate me further on my circumstances.
I have been trying to get a new primary care dr for my mother for several months when her insurance dropped her previous drvas a provider. Finally got an apt with dr Patterson. Her first appointment had to be canceled due to mom being in the hospital. Upon her release I promptly called to reschedule. The day before her scheduled appointment mom was readmitted to the hospital so I had to cancel again. Upon her release I called to reschedule and they refused her stating when a patient "misses" 2 appointments it is there policy to not reschedule. I can't tell you how unbelievably angry I am that a health care provider would turn away an obviously sick elderly woman in dire need of primary care because of a "policy". Based on the reviews Dr. Patterson is an exceptional dr. But his office mgr is seroiusly lacking in compassion and empathy for the elderly and sick. SHAMEFUL!
Over the many years of knowing Dr. Patterson I have found him to be very caring and concerned with his patients well-being. I would highly recommend him to others.
Very confident of Dr. Patterson's diagnosis and treatment.
I had been going to Dr. Patterson for a couple years now. He recently (since my last visit) has changed locations and is now in Smyrna. With this said, my appointment this morning (7:00 AM), in a location that I have never been to, in the POURING down rain. I was 11 minutes late due to trying to find the place and the inclement weather. His office staff, told me that because I missed my appointment, that I would have to get worked in and that it would be an hour, when I said no thanks, they asked if I would like to reschedule. UMMMM... No thanks. You have now lost a paying patient over 11 minutes of your time. Maybe you should be more understanding of inclement weather and changing locations. I will not be back.
Was 15 min late to my appointment . They told me I had to reschedule. Really ! He said he was booked. I'm not feeling well so now I have to go to a care clinic so I can get treatment. So please tell me why do I have a primary doctor if I can't see him ? They wanted to schedule a evening appointment but I'm handicap and parking is not great at that time that's why I make morning appointments. Normally you have a grace period at doctor's office but not here they don't understand that sometimes things happen. Didn't bother to ask or felt humility all they know that I was late. Might have to seek another doctor. This is the second incident that I have had with this office.
Just went in for another visit with Dr. Patterson. He has moved farther from me but he is worth the drive. I enjoy visiting with the office staff and nurses. They are patient-friendly and so helpful. Dr. Patterson takes your concerns very seriously and listens to everything you say. I have been going to him since I came to Murfreesboro, about 2 years, and I love his manner, his professionalism and his problem-solving ability. Every question is answered by him and I feel so much better walking out of the office. He is very up to date on latest research on various things that affect my health and I appreciate him taking care of me. A fine doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
