List of David Koelsch's Reviews
I saw Dr. Koelsch for removal of a melanoma. The surgery went great, I found him very knowledgeable, easy to ask questions, explained things well and had a great staff and nurse. I would highly recommend and would for sure go to him again if I needed surgery.
Dr. Koelsch is an amazing surgeon and person. He literally saved my life!!
We found it easy to get in to see Dr Koelsch and he and his staff were very friendly and helpful. He explained the advantages and disadvantages of the various treatment options, gave us his recommendation and allowed us to make the final decision regarding a treatment plan.
I just recently had surgery for colon cancer by him. No one could ask for a better Doctor. He is caring, sympathetic, concerned. I thank God he is the doctor I was referred to for this procedure.
Dr. Koelsch is number 1 in my book! His knowledge of antibiotics and surgery combined allowed him to bring me through a serious illness. He also performed a second surgery that had an elevated risk of complications, but the post-surgery complications were minor. He knew this second surgery would be difficult and he allowed himself the time needed to be sure he had done all he could to make it a success. I am over two weeks into recovery and feel I am improving daliy!
I feel like Dr. Koelsch saved my life! He is a very kind, understanding, and wonderful doctor! Cannot praise him enough!
Best physician I ever had the good fortune to be allowed to be a patient of. He's wicked smart, very sensitive to emotional needs, and was right-on in every diagnosis he gave to help me. Every minute I needed to wait I knew he was taking extra time with the patient before my schedule. I so admired that, because I knew when my time came he would give me the same respect and consideration. Very likely to recommend Dr. Koelsch. In fact, I have recommended him to no less than 3 patients.
Dr. Koelsch is the best doctor/surgeon and I wouldn't want to go to anyone else. He is very caring and he spends time with me and answers every question. I can't say enough wonderful things about how great Dr. Koelsch is. I thank God he is my doctor/surgeon.
My husband came to dr Koelsch with an ulcer on the bottom of his foot that would not heal. He looked at it briefly and told his nurse to clean it and stick a 4x4 in the gapping 3 in wound. She took a non-sterile kelly forcep out of drawer and stuck it in the wound which started to bleed profusely. Then she bandaged the foot and dr.Koelsch said it would heal from inside out in about 4 months. To keep dressing it at home.No vacuum pump was recommended per Dr Koelsch. We immediately went to another dr who , in surgery, debrided the wound, stitched, dressed and put vacuum pump on. Wound healed perfectly in 3 weeks.
My sister goes to this doctor. She has lumps in her breast and he just keeps saying we will keep an eye on it. Now she has a hard lump, back aches, tiredness and the mammagram shows a lump and he THINKS it MIGHT be fat necrosis but says well se will keep an eye on it. What kind of doctor doesn't send for more tests, Instead of just THINKING. She comes from a family with breast cancer. HE sounds like a uncaring quack. I hope he is right because if he isn't there will be problems for him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
