List of Diversicare Of Oak Ridge's Reviews
I was there for ten months. The food was so horrible that I lost down to 86 lbs., which I weighed in fifth grade. Most of the staff is really nice. They're waaaaay understaffed, which makes their jobs really hard. After the 30 days that the insurance would pay for a private room, I got moved to one with a roommate. The roommates I had were nice. But the employee who told me I had to move, told me that the view out my window would be GREAT! It wasn't. I went from a great view of the courtyard, to a lovely view of hardly any grass and a lovely brick wall.
Diversicare of Oak Ridge is a wonderful facility providing exceptional care to their patients. They truly cared for our loved one in a time of need.
I spent 72 days as a patient and I can tell that people treat their pets better than the patients who are in Diversicare. Keep your family safe at home not with strangers who are only working for a paycheck.
Do not consider this place if you care about your parent. Like the other review I just read, they allow my mother to lay up and walk around in a soiled pull-up all day. Even trying to get her on the phone is a weekly hassle- transfers-to-transfers until I get a dial tone. I'm talking 3-5 tries regularly. I found out later is they changed the name to Divericare after having been sued as Briarcliff. I wonder what their name will be next. We're currently looking for another facility for mom.
Hi My Name Is Robert I Have Been To Diversicare Of Oakridge 3 Times For Rehabilitation. And The Staff Here Is Great.God Bless You
Please carefully consider before you put your loved one in this substandard facility. They let one family member lie in bed in a dirty diaper for hours and when the other family member in the room complained to the nurses, the nurses just said they were short-staffed and they would get to her when they got to her.A staff member allowed and facilitated the signing over of the proceeds of a life insurance policy by my family member who has dementia and is legally blind!! She was told she had to sign it and so she, as the sole beneficiary, signed it over to another family member who is stealing the money. A criminal investigation by Oak Ridge police is underway as well as a civil lawsuit.Diversicare now refuses to respond to me and I am afraid for my loved one's life!! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR LOVED ONE!!
My father was there for roughly six weeks following a series of health complications while we tried to find him a more permanent living situation. While there, he fell trying to get from his bed to his wheelchair FLUR SEPARATE TIMES, and four separate times, they left him lying in the floor, calling, crying, screaming for help for OVER AN HOUR. They also left him to sit in his own excrement for many hours any time he couldn't make it to his toilet. He went to the hospital for a few days and while there, we arranged for him to go to a separate facility (he never went back to Diversicare). When we went to collect his things, they provided us with a suitcase filling with half of his clothing. What we didn't recover was over $1,000 worth of personal artifacts and medical necessities.
I found that the staff here does truly care for their patients. I kept my 94 year old grandmother here and they went out out their way to care for her. Try not to let their low rating discourage you from giving them a chance.
Neglect of patient. Will not listen to your concerns. He developed pressure ulcers. My father died of gangrene because they would not put him on anti bionics and take care of his sores. I had to tell them to take get him to the hospital. Gangrene is treatable if caught in the beginning. No staff and poor management.
Was sent there after hospital release. I have been in rehab 3 times before nothing like this. Two beds in roughly a 10 by 10 room. They couldn't even find a wheelchair for me. I couldn't have been more disappointed. Please do your research.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
