Elaine Bunick's Online Review Report Card

I was Dr Bunick's patient several years ago. I got online today to see if she was still certified to practice endocrinology. Dr Bunick is very intelligent and seems to care about her patients. However, she told me that the powers that be had admonished her for stepping outside of her area of expertise. Then she proceeded to do that with me, fancying herself to be a psychologist and behaving unprofessionally, against medical code of ethics. Even though I did not file any sort of complaint with the State of Tennessee, evidently many other of her patients have, about this same issue.

Removed my wife's ovaries due to cysts. Was not necessary.

At 25 years of age I saw this woman.. She shined a flashlight on my chin asked me 3 questions (I timed her - she spent under 2 mins total) then she told me I needed a “full hysterectomy” later I received an open postcard with private patient information on it to me which the postman read out loud. If only HER mother had had a full hysterectomy when she was 25. This woman has likely performed hundreds of unnecessary hysterectomies & caused suffering. In any other industry she’d be fired!

Dr. Bunick saved my life. After being misdiagnosed for five years, finding Dr. Bunick was an answer to a prayer. I can never thank her enough for all she did to help me. She saved my life. Absolutely the best Dr. I have ever been to then and 20 years later.

7 hour wait time horrible bedside manner and is always more concerned about our lack of formal education and not wanting children than she is about the medical condition. Repeatedly tells us at every visit that we are uneducated need better jobs and will hate ourselves and end up divorced if we never have children. We put up with this for too long. We have changed providers. Even the staff complain about working for her.

The Best Doctor I have met in my life. -Plain and Simple- Master of rare and exotic Endocrine disorders , An Encyclopedic insight into Human Bodies and Medicine. A heart large as her brain. Consider Yourself lucky to be Her patient.

Dr. Bunick has been my Endocrinologist for 25+ years. Her treatment approach is to do what is best for you and not cookie cutter. She is constantly educating me on outcomes in poor diabetes control and signs of hyper/hypo thyroid levels. You can tell she cares about her patients even when she lectures you. I would definitely recommend her to family and friends.

The wait is very long but that is because Dr. Bunick spends the time she needs to give an accurate diagnosis.

The Best of the Best. Our Family nicknamed Her St. Bunick for all the help She gave us. f Shes late for am appointment there was an emergency. She'd do the same for You--if You have an emergency. She knows all the rare diseases and complications. Diabetes is her favorite (as far as I can tell disease to treat. If You get to see Her You are blessed.
