List of Ellen Liuzza's Reviews
Excellent doctor! She is professional! She listen carefully, and act in the interest of the patient!
great!
My terrific physician of 30 years is retiring and referred me to see her own partner, Dr. Liuzza, saying that I would be very happy with her as a doctor. I was offered an appointment date with her, but the receptionist told me that Dr. Liuzza would review my medical records and get back with me. Two weeks later I was told that Dr. Liuzza would NOT see me because: “SHE DID NOT HAVE THE TIME”. I was shocked and very hurt, that even her very own partner’s referral was not sufficient for Dr. Liuzza to accept me as a patient even for one visit. (Also insulting to my doctor, that she turned me down. Where is the professionalism?) I concluded that even though she is an internist, she may not have the expertise to see me because I have more than one health problem. That or, she sets strict time limits on office visits, or opts to see patients only with very simple health problems. If you are thinking of seeing her, just beware of her words: she does not have the time.
Absolutely awful! She does not listen to the patient, speaks over you, does not consider anything the patient has to say. My daughter has seen her twice and both times ended up in tears because this Dr refuses to listen. DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR COMPASSION. She wouldn’t know what a good bedside manner was if it bit her!
Not the doctor for you if you want a compassionate doctor!! My elderly mother of 79 years old, who has recovered from heart valve replacements etc, and years of fighting anxiety disorders, visited this drs office less than 4 times. My mother has been a patient in this group for decades and is the most timid, kind lady in the universe!! Today, when I asked how her appt with her fairly new dr went, in tears, told me that Dr Liuzza told her she needed to find another doctor!! She told my mother that she was “bullying her” by asking her for a medication! Really? That’s how we treat our senior citizens? I’m livid. If she took the time to listen to my mother, she would know all that she has been through and would show compassion, not kick her to the curb. I look at this as a blessing in disguise, but wanted to let others know how my sweet mother was treated!! I’m so blessed to have great doctors in Knoxville. My father is looking for a new doctor and I hope she keeps moving on to another location, as her resume shows she doesn’t stay anywhere long.
She doesn’t listen. Had no idea what I actually have she doesn’t read charts.Ordered a MRI and I have a Medtronic Interstim . NO MRI UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES I even wear a Med Alert Bracelet. Not Impressed and have since changed Dr.
I am new to Tennessee and Dr Ellen is my new primary care physician, she has been a wonderful person and doctor for me during this transition. Very easy to talk to in regards to my medical care now and moving forward. highly recommend her as a great physician.
Very patient and thorough. Dr Liuzza makes me feel no question is too sillly to answer and I feel she is someone I trust for those answers.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
