Henry Hooker's Online Review Report Card

Would never recommend this doctor I have never been treated so poorly and he is not concerned with the care of his patients but only his schedule.

Dr. Hooker is one of the best physicians I’ve ever known. He listens and tells me what I need to know, not what I want to hear. His office is run professionally, always on time, organized and personal. His knowledge of headaches rivals the best Neurologists I’ve met at Vanderbilt, in Nashville. I recommend him very highly!

I have been going here for at least 6 years now. Best treatment for my migraines I have ever had. Been suffering since 8 years old and was getting 3 to 5 a day when I started. Now its cut to 1 or 2 a week and not as intense most of the time. I was suicidal until getting this help. If u truly suffer, then get in here.

Dr. Hooker knew what needed to be done to resolve my Migraine Headaches. I explained how Sunlight had caused headache as I drove from Seymour to Oak Ridge for Appointment to meet with him He ordered me to have Massage Therapy on my neck. My c-2. Vertebrae was out of place. This was approximately 4years ago. I no longer hsve Migraine Headaches. Thanks to Dr. Hooker.

I have not seen Dr. Henry Hooker in many years and waited to review him because I didn't want personal feeling to cloud my judgment. Going to see him was like going to drive thru in and out in under in 5 minutes. He never listen to everything I had to say or seem to care about what I had to say. He even told me I would be died if I didn't take blood presser meds that was in 2012. I just I'm extremely lucky his staff falsely accuse in a conversion because it forced me to find a neurologist who has been a god sent..

I started seeing Dr. Hooker a couple of months ago due to chronic migraines.I had already seen 2-3 neurologists prior to him but as my migraines became more constant,persistent and painful, I became desperate.I had been going back and forth from doctor to doctor and the er.My migraines were ranging from 8-10 levels from the time I woke up til the time I went to bed and no pain pills were helping anymore.I began searching online for yet another neurologist who may have been able to help and found Dr. Hooker on there.With high hopes (as he was my last hope) I called,made my appointment and waited anxiously for my day to arrive.First things were alot of questioning,explanations and testing set ups which went rather quickly.Next visit was more explanations about my test results and he actually showed me ALL the damage I had from my cancer,chemo,radiation,surgeries.This was the first time it had all been explained to me in such detail so I was shocked.I was sent home with a new prescription (anti seizure)and a daily chart for migraines.Since then I've had PT, another first, nerve block injections, yet another first and I recently had my first botox.I haven't felt this good in a year.Dr. Hooker is a concerned,kind and well knowledged man whom I'm happy to have as my doctor.His staff is friendly and courteous.I would recommend him over any other neurologist I've had in the past.Thank you Dr. Hooker!

Almost no knowledge of the condition I have, staff was horrible.

Dr.**** is knowledgable and is willing to listen to my ideas about what is going on with my headaches and migraines. He is also willing to incorporate my wishes in how to handle the treatment of my continuing chronic migraine treatment therapy. I am happy with both Dr. **** and the staff; they have treated me well.

I saw Dr **** when I was a patient at MHNI. I hear he has since left,I dont wonder why. he and his associate Dr Saper could use a good dose of reality. maybe they would understand the devistating and debilitating effect migranes and atypical facial pain have on an individual if they were to suffer from them themselves. I wish Dr **** well, back at his old job at Mc Donalds. maybe he can get his buddy Dr Saper a job there as well.

Dr.**** is extremely current in his field. He is open to alternative treatment. His info handout helped me understand my head pain for the first time since I had trauma a year ago. I found him a strong patient advocate. He also prescribed COQ10 which had an immediate positive affect on my head pain and pain levels, and he worked with me to manage pain with Voltaren Gel since I have allergic reactions to most meds. He is awesome and highly recommended!
