My barely 18 year old daughter saw this ER doctor at Methodist in Oak Ridge this evening. Due to Covid 19, I was not able to go in with her This physician's bedside manner was awful. She invalidated my daughter's symptoms, blaming them solely on anxiety. (My daughter has had anxiety for years. We KNOW what it looks like and this was NOT anxiety). Dr. McHardy told my daughter that if labs were ordered, they would come back normal! OK, who made her God?!? No tests were run. My sweet child left in tears, feeling humiliated and without answers to her symptoms. How dare you put your self above a very young adult. Use science and knowledge, not just your egocentric perspective to treat your patients.
