I brought my my son at Oak Ridge Peadtrics location for what turned out to be pneumonia. This was in 2007. In fairness to him I had just been thrust into a role as a single surving dad as my wife had been shot and killed in a robbery. Doctor Barongen had no way of knowing this fact at that time. He treated my son and the meds healed him. However this doctor was rude condescending and as heck towards me a young hurting dad. When asking about firearms in my home, being young I was too naive to tell him it was none of his business and decline to answer these questions. I answered them honestly. His replies were insensitive as regarding me being a gun owner. He treated me like white trash. Yes it's been 13-14 years and my son is now grown. The way he talked me hurt me and I've never forgotten it. He was a good doctor, but he was also a smug and who should've checked his politics and biases at the door. I can only assume or hope he has grown as much as I have since that time.

Dr. Barognan was my two young boys’ pediatrician until we moved this year. He caught a quiet murmur on my youngest at each well check. He didn’t just ignore it and made sure we had a pediatric cardiologist check him out. Even though the majority of murmurs at that age are innocent, he still made sure to do what’s best for his tiny patients! Glad the heart screened normal, but would’ve been in good hands if it hadn’t thanks to him jumping on it early. We will miss him and the rest of the ORPC!

Our son went to Dr. Barongan his entire childhood. He does a fantastic job working with kids.

Dr. Barongan went out-of-way to provide print-outs of information for two sons medical conditions. He provided referrals as-necessary for testing at a children's hospital. He is always courteous, knowledgeable, and calls back when I have questions/concerns about my children.

We moved to this area a few years ago and tried another pediatrician previously. She was okay, but when we found Dr. Barongan there was no doubt we had found the best pediatrician in the area. He has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever met. He is knowledgeable, and if he doesn't know it, he's going to find out. He obviously cares for children and is always great with my son. He speaks to him in a way that puts my son at ease and allows him to have an actual conversation. Every time we leave an appointment with Dr. B by seven-year-old says, "I love that doctor!"
