List of Richard Hughes's Reviews
Each of Dr. Hughes’ staff were professional but also kind and friendly so that I felt comfortable with the whole evaluation process, although the woman at the frint desk seemed irritated I dis not have my paperwork filled out when I checked in (as I told her, I dis not receive any paperwork in the mail or email to complete). However, I might have misread her. Lisa was great! She patiently stepped me through the pulmonary tests as if they were pleasant tasks. The X-ray and checkout staff were great too
My visit was perfect, staff was friendly and answered all my questions. Dr Hughes was very kind and funny. Very professional. Answered all my questions. Explain all the testing they had done why and what it told him. Great visit, I have already recommended others to him. He’s a good one.
Would NEVER go to or refer anyone to Dr. Hughes! Horrible office personnel. Dr. Hughes agrees with their snottiness. Sad that he would put his practice in this position. The long time office personnel are destroying his patient relationships and trust in him. He doesn't run or own his practice....they do. Many people have left this practice because of these folks. Ruins patient/doctor confidence and trust to hear a doctor agree with such actions of staff.
Dr. Hughes was very patient to explain the results of my tests and the conclusion he was drawing from this first visit. Although his conclusion was much different than another pulmonologist that has since left the area, his careful explanation was clearly understood and accepted as very reasonable. The suggested monitoring and subsequent follow-up visit in six months to compare results of another test gave further assurance of his concern for my well being.
Everyone in the office was so nice and friendly including Dr. Hughs.
I have been going here for about 15 years, and have always been treated great. The nurses are all just sweet hearts. I have never been to a doctors office that ever one there goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. And Dr. Hughes is the best. He will listen to any complaints you have and if there is even a slight possibility you may have a new problem, he will stop and order an x-ray or what ever test he thinks will help. If your meds are not helping, he will change them around to get you the best treatment for your problem. And if there is a new drug on the market that he thinks may help you, he will explain it to you to see if you would like to try it. And if you get sick and don't have an appointment, no worries, call any way. You will most likely be seen by Mary. And she is one of the best there also. Such a nice lady that will do anything for you to help you feel better. IN All Top Notch Group .. Right Here In Oak Ridge Tenn.
Good doctor. Typical 'b' nursing staff in office, though. As always, the snotty attitudes of the women running the office interfere with the doctors' care by having a holier-than-thou attitude toward patients, especially when on the telephone where doctors can't see or hear them. They are also rude in the office. Typical frustration of not being in a more powerful position, they take out their frustrations on sick patients. May have to change doctors and find a better support staff in office. Most are middle-aged, of course, but even the young ones who take phone calls are rude and snotty. Good doctor. A shame.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
