This is a brilliant man, and very patient.I have several disorders, a complicated diagnosis, and he listens and cares.He is very compassionate and has worked with me for several years to make my life less overwhelming.I owe him a deep debt of gratitude.

I have gone to dozens of psychiatrists trying to find the right one. I was never happy with the psychiatrists- they often forced dozens of meds without lsitening to my input, or tried to guilt me into fixing things in my life they didnt agree with, but then i found Dr Walters about 7 years ago. He is a very kind and understanding man. He has a good sense of humor and is fun. Talking to him is like talking to a good friend who is also an expert in medicine. He is open about all medications and is willing to listen when you have an opinion on something new to try. I am unmotivated and always disliked when psychiatrists would try to force "well u need to do x y and z" down your throat and even when u said "no" they guilt you. Walters knows me and my personality, he will recommend i try something, but if i dont want to do it. He wont guilt me. My greatest fear is the day he retires!

He is very knowledgeable and immediately put my anxiety at ease when I began to talk with him. He set some light goals for me to do and wrote my anxiety meds with a refill and made a follow up visit for a month away. I feel extremely grateful to have found him. He even takes my TennCare!
