List of Edward Burns's Reviews
It says a lot about a Dr when even the receptionist/front office staff makes an unsolicited comment that he is the Best. After my appointment, I would have to say, I concur. Dr. Burns spent time discussing my arthritis/pain issues, the results of my X-rays and fully explained the possible treatment options, from conservative treatment to surgery. Absolutely no pressure to make a rush decision and he gave a no nonsense explanation of surgery procedure, recovery and prognosis should I take that route. Excellent doctor and wonderful office staff. Would highly recommend.
Dr Burns was very nice and he took care of my issues. I’ve had to go twice now (for both elbows) He listens to your needs and takes care of them the best way possible. He had a very good bedside manner. I highly recommend him and will go back any time I’m having issues.
Didn’t have along wait time he done me hand surgery a year ago I have had no problems with it they have always been great with me I will go back to doc burns for any orthopedic appointment that I need
I made an apt with Dr Burns hand specialist and they gave me one about a month out! I get to my apt, after waiting 30 days, and driving an hour away only to be told I couldn’t see Dr Burn unless I paid an outstanding balance that was sent to collections even tho we were paying payments on it! The bill wasn’t for any dr visit but for back shots they did before finally doing my 3rd back surgery, I was sent for 8 shots at $1800 each and had a $293 balance we had paid down too! Even tho Dr Burns is a hand Dr they wouldn’t allow me to see him! I called his private nurse to tell her to inform him that they sent me away when I came in for his visit, which he loses the money for his services! I normally love Tennessee Orthopedic but this has really upset me because Dr Burns had told me to let him know if this had happen again when I had my left hand surgery with him! So I let his personal nurse know and I have not heard from them! Dr Burns has been a wonderful hand specialist and did an awesome job with my left hand issues but the Orthopedic Office has been the worst!
Dr. Burns very nice, polite, and thorough
Dr. Burns has treated me for an issue with my right wrist. His treatment and care is always exceptional. I trust him completely and would recommend him to anyone with arm issues. I won’t see anyone but him for my wrist.
Dr. Burns is always so kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great hand specialist
Everyone was very friendly in the office. Dr. Burns made me feel at ease during my visit for an index finger I cannot bend. He told me right away that I would not need surgery, and was prescribing occupational therapy to see if that would help me get the use of my finger back. I highly recommend him for your doctor.
I was seen promptly. Dr. Burns immediately diagnosed my problem and gave me choices for treatment. I feel 50% better the day after treatment, as he said I would. I anticipate total relief. However, Dr. Burns gave me further options if needed.
Came in with trigger thumb and he explained I needed to have surgery to really fix it but I explained my husband just had open heart surgery and he went ahead and gave me another injection to give me more time for my husband to heal before something else was put on my plate. He really understood and listened to me and so he was very helpful by giving me the injection to give me more time before I would need to have surgery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
