List of Thomas Repine's Reviews
Dr Repine and his staff treat me like I matter. I love the people at Thompson Oncology.
Dr. Repine is sensitive to patient's needs and an excellent chemo physician. I am doing much better than expected.
He was great, explains everything and has great bedside manner. He was very thorough and did all testing to find out my blood problem. I was very impressed with his care in office and during my hospital stay. Excellent
strongly suggest getting a second and third opinion before proceeding with recommendations for Chemo schedule. You may find it very beneficial.
Talks to his dictator (who is a person, who is now in the room at your appointment) He didn't even introduced her. He dictated a physical in 5 minutes. Never asked me about what was going on health wise . Not thrilled with a stranger in the room. Was very odd. Want Dr. LEIBMEN back. Thompson Cancer Center can't seem to keep good doctors. Not happy with Dr. Repine at all. Just not any good choices around.
it was nice
He was seeing me for a second opinion regarding the placement of an IVC for surgery last year. I was having knee replacement and due to me taking Coumadin for undetermined origin of recurring blood clots this was suggested. He did lab work to check and see why I have the blood clots, hereditary of origin, etc. He was very kind to me and gave me three scenarios of why I should/should not have this done. The final scenario was No Way....do not do this. I was very pleased with his decision.
I will never forget Dr. Repine's care for my adult daughter during her treatment for stage 4 head & neck cancer. He was very compassionate, yet straightforward with the science behind her illness and treatment. Although we did not get the results we were hoping for, he stood up for her, scheduling an appointment with a specialist in Knoxville when her own primary ENT delayed biopsy surgery to suit his personal schedule. And he delicately, yet honestly explained to her when cancer advanced beyond curative measures. Yet without giving up hope, he helped us schedule her into a clinical study in another city. I would recommend his care to anyone. After she suddenly passed away, he called me to make sure I understood what had happened, and to offer his heartfelt sorrow.
This so-called doctor hurt my brother by giving him a Bayer made chemo. Instead of starting him out on a small dosage, he gave him the maximum and within 5 days he looked like he was close to death. The 8 to 12 weeks leading up to this, my brother was in the best health he'd been in since diagnosed with cancer 2 years before. My brother never recovered from that mistake and end up dying not long afterwards.
Dr. Repine was an excellent doctor for my husband who had a difficult diagnosis of leukemia. Even though he was not the first doctor to have seen my husband, he was the final one. He was very kind and caring in all the visits. He even called to make sure that Hospice was taking care of all out needs and he called again after my husband passed. I really appreciate all he has done for us.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
