List of Regents Medical Center's Reviews
I have been taking my 2 boys to Regents Medical Center since 2009 when they were two & four. Regents also became my personal provider at that time (I never really had a PCP for myself before then). Everyone should be aware of how easy it is to get an appointment on short notice when one is really need (or go as a walk in). They can usually be seen within hours...except during the height of COVID. When I say this, please understand I would see any of their providers and find them to be equal. I have never asked to be seen by a specific person. Their diagnosis has ALWAYS been accurate and their treatments have always worked. Personally I prefer Meds only when necessary and they have always readily accepted that for me. Regents Medical Center keeps up to date on illnesses "going around", especially in local schools. They also are diligent in handling referrals, including prompt requests for records from specialists I see and those records are easy to obtain when needed. I make sure Regents Medical Center is covered before we make any insurance changes. Why would I go anywhere else?
They let the best primary care provider I’ve ever had go. It’s hard to find a doctor/PC that’s compassionate and patient enough to listen and get to the root of the problem. I know, because it took me forever to find one. Most doctors just want to push you through like cattle. Bill your insurance or overprice an uninsured person in need. Bureaucratic greed. The explanation I was told for letting my primary care provider go, was basically along those lines. She did things differently. Thank God someone does. I won’t be going back. That is the kind of establishment that I have tried to avoid, and thought I had. You’d be better off going to a walk in clinic.
As of 9:16 am on October 4th today!!!! My mother has been calling for over a hour and nobody will not answer the phone so she can schedule a appointment to do something about the fact she is hardly able to breathe. What is the staff doing ? why can't y'all answer the phone. What is the point of running a DOCTOR'S OFFICE IF YOU WONT EVEN HELP PATIENTS SCHEDULE A APPOINTMENT!!!
Giving them a second chance will have to see how it goes. My review has been from 5 to 1 star. Now to 3
Wanted to take the time to leave a positive review, as many only use reviews for something negative. I’ve been seeing Melodie Shanahan at Regents for quite some time now. She always takes her time to listen and never rushes me through. I feel she genuinely cares about me and any health issues that I might have. So grateful to have such a great provider here in Pleasant View. Hope she stays for many more years - she’s the only provider I want to see! Thanks.
I've been going to this doctor office for years. Sad to say, I will be changing primary care offices. Since they have switched all their doctors around I've learned that they could care less about helping some selected few, so it seems. Meri Melodie Shanahan needs to reconsider her position as a "family nurse practitioner". I have Never had a "doctor"/nurse make me feel so terrible as a person. I hope no one else experiences anything like I have today. Best of wishes to who else sees her! Otherwise, front desk ladies are fabulous, with very welcoming manners.
Have always the best care here. Professional and friendly, very caring . I don't know why there are bad reviews but I am staying with what works. These people are the best!
Wondering why it takes so long to get lab results. Still waiting...... Last time it took 8 to 10 days and still waiting for results from the most recent round of tests. Maybe you should see less patients each day so you can keep up.
I love Dr Shanahan!! I was diagnosed with cancer 11/22. She has been amazing, calling me or my wife to check on both of us. My wife is now going through health issues and she called her last Friday to go over blood pressure readings. She is always calling us back if we have any questions. Will recommend her to everyone!!!
I find it necessary to share my opinion regarding my care with Meri Melodie Shanahan, at Regents Medical. First, Melodie is the most professional and thorough healthcare provider that I have EVER been to. Melodie takes the time to understand my healthcare concerns and finds answers. She is educated, non judgmental, genuinely concerned for my well being and I trust her unconditionally. When you depend so much on your healthcare provider, it is necessary to understand that they are people too. Please don’t let a negative review determine your own outcome. We are so fortunate to have Meri Melodie Shanahan at Regents Medical in Pleasant View. I am forever grateful for Melodie and the staff at Regents Medical.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
