Dr. Fleming is not a good person. I recommend you see literally any other doctor. This man straight faced told me I was bulimic, trying to get attention, and was causing myself to be a burden to my family and that all i needed was to just get over my need for attention. I have crohns disease and my mother wouldn’t take me to another doctor because this man told her i just wanted attention. i quiet literally almost died.
Dr Flaming has been a good doctor to me for years and he listens. He tries to figure out what is wrong and doesn't rush me.
Tried to give Dr. Flaming a chance after being unhappy with his now-retired colleague. Very condescending. Medications I’ve never taken or been told about show up in my records, and I’ve had other doctors accuse me of lying about an anti-anxiety medication. (The first doctor I saw at the practice refused to take it over, yet on my chart it still shows as active - with that now-retired doctor as the prescriber.) Dr. Flaming referred me to a pain clinic and sent a passive aggressive “your disease is going to get worse or lead to your death” form letter when I cancelled it.Before giving me the referral, he asked, “Have you SEEN the kinds of people who go there?”It turns out, he diagnosed me with two problems that neither my current nor my previous rheumatologist agreed with, and sent me for that. So that shows on my record as well.I sent him a message with my grievances through the patient portal and explained that I would find a new primary care doctor since I’m uncomfortable returning to him. Two days later, I get a certified letter, dismissing me from the practice.I should also point out that he’s suggested I’m simply a troublesome patient and should be checked for a personality disorder.EDIT: It’s now the end of October 2019. An urgent care clinic contacted Dr. Flaming’s office about one of my previous medications. Immediately after that, I start getting notifications about updates to my chart from their patient portal. Surprise: they didn’t get refilled, but the dates on my records have changed. Apparently I got brand new prescriptions within the past couple of months. Interesting, since I haven’t been there since February 2019.
Very personable, good listener and extremely thorough. He's been our family physician for over 20 years and has always provided excellent care in a timely manner.
Word to the Wise .....Do not call there office out on there mistakes or Speak up because they don’t care how long u been a patient or what medical issues u have they will let u & your family go as a patient if they don’t like what u have to say even if it is with legit reason and they will flag your account so it makes it difficult for you to find another Summit doctor... I have been a patient for 7 years with a lot of medical issues I have never had a problem until this past year and it’s been one thing after another .. My husband has never trusted a doctor as much as he had him but because I called the office out on a lot of mistakes he’s discriminating against my husband and dismissing us both as patients and my husband has not said one word to these people .... Its really sad how u trust these doctors to care for you & your loved ones for all these years for them to turn there backs on you like that when there treating you for multiple heath conditions .... So for that I only give 1 star for once upon a time you actually acted like u cared
Great doctor listens and don't try to rush you out to get to the next patient. Staff very helpful and friendly when you have to call in for something.
Very bad bedside manner, condescending, intimidating to the elderly. Not a credit to his profession. This post is for a relative who is firing him asap.
Dr. Flaming is easy to talk to and compassionate. He is friendly and has been knowledgeable with my healthcare needs. His nurses and staff at Emory Family Practice have always been easy to work with, nice and understanding.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
