My surgery to repair a hiatal hernia was successful but my postop care h nas been less than satisfactory I went for my 6 week postop visit had several concerns chronic nausea food getting stuck in my esophagus early satiety horrible indigestion. On his progress note he put Per patient doing well. He ordered an Upper GI series not sure what the diagnosis would be since I had no complaints I subsequently have to have my esophagus dilated because the lower esophagus is too narrow. When I sent a message to his nurse no response. He hasnt looked at my incisions once since surgery. How can he write incisions soreness should resolve? I had no complaints of soreness. I am not a happy patient

Dr. Harrell is a fantastic surgeon. He removed my husband’s gallbladder last week and my husband is a new man I was impressed by how well he listened to us how swiftly he was able to get us into surgery how quickly the surgery itself went and his calm and reassuring demeanor before during and after the fact. He’s also very clearly committed to hygiene and never failed to sanitize his hands before shaking our hands. Husband’s surgery site has very minor pain he hasn’t needed any sort of pain meds since the day after his surgery and zero complications.My husband has seen a lot of doctors in his life and described Dr. Harrell and his team as the best he’s ever encountered. We highly recommend him.

Excellent bedside manner wonderful listener complicationsfree gall bladder removal. He helped set my heart at ease. From start to finish this was an amazing experience with Dr. Harrell. He’s an excellent listener and an even better surgeon. We have seen a lot of doctors and Dr. Harrell and his team are the best we’ve encountered. Would highly recommend him.

Outstanding Very gifted surgeon with a caring attitude. He performed a Bowel Resection on my wife to remove a Carcinoid tumor and she was able to consume regular food within 48 hours released from Hospital in 4 days with no complications Thanks you Dr. Harrell for a job well done

I had an acute appendix surgery at the old St. Mary’s Hospital on 212018 and Dr. Harrell was my doctor. He and the entire staff of St. Mary was fantastic. Very attentive compassionate and just make you feel better. Thanks for your services Dr. Harrell and all of your fantastic staff.

Dr. Harrell is a very kind and compassionate person He is a great surgeon He robotically done my adrenalectomy. He is very thorough and doesnt seem like he is in a big hurry like most doctors do. He done his best to calm my nerves by talking me through my surgery. I am very thankful he was my surgeon. I highly recommend this doctor
