List of Peter Ochoa's Reviews
After 2.5 years of 3 Drs ordering unfounded tests, Ochoa tried 1 medication on me, felt normal after 3 days, ordered 1 test and diagnosis was confirmed, IBS
Dr. Peter was able to determine my medical problems, the root of them, as well as treat them after one visit where other doctors had failed after years of continual examinations.
Dr. Ochoa is a terrific doctor... with actual bedside manner and personality. So many docs today -- rushed by over-booking -- are more scientist than physician. Dr. Ochoa is the opposite. He'll listen to you. He explains things to you. He CARES for you. All the while, he's incredibly thorough. I used to think "perhaps a bit too thorough," until his digging into an issue discovered a cancer in my body that would have taken years to fully manifest itself. Other doctors marveled that he found it. Quite simply, he saved my life. Just a terrific physician. And a good person, too.
Dr Ochoa was my Dr since I moved to Tn in 2016. I was devasated when he left Knoxville. Dr Ochoa you need to come back to Knoxville so many of us need you. The Dr that replaced you is horrible. If I could get to Chattanooga I would just so you could be my Dr again! You took time and didnt rush, you listened and cared. My health has declined and the new Dr just brushes it off. Tests results come back wrong. I know you would take the time to fix the problem. Alot of your patients miss you so much. Knoxville needs you.
Dr. Ochoa is like no doctor I've ever been to. I always felt as though I was his only patient he had to see. Never rushed. All questions answered to my satisfaction. My heart breaks that he has been dismissed from Summit Medical. I read why they dismissed him and it seems to be a fairly petty reason. A simple reprimand should have been all that was necessary. But, no. They who apparently are more saintly than he; pushed out one of Summit Medical's best doctors. Out of necessity, I've had to find another doctor. I'm old and do have to have a doctor to go to. He was, and still is, the best. God bless him. And God forgive Summit Medical for dismissing him. They knew not what they did.
Dr. Ochoa has been my doctor since 2011. I am so saddened to hear of his resignation. He was caring, he listened and he took his time. I never felt rushed during my appointments. Wherever you are Dr. Ochoa, please reach out to all of your supporters, we want to follow you. Peggy N
Dr Ochoa has been my Dr since I moved here 3 years ago. He is a caring and compassionate Dr who genuinely cares for his patients and listens to them. I was devastated to receive a message in the portal he resigned. If he ever starts a new practice I will go to him. There are no other Dr's willing to listen to you like he does. There should be more Dr's like him, more patients would be helped if there were.
Dr. Ochoa has been my doctor for many years. His compassion and perspicacity were both exceptional. I am very upset that he has resigned, and also that Summit Health sent such a curt and unfeeling note about his resignation. They show no loyalty to a doctor that has served his patients so well for so long. I will not choose Summit Health as my health care provider from this point.
Professional, kind caring Dr. I would recommend my family and friends to see him for their health care.
Dr. Ochoa had been in practice four months when he became my family doctor and later became my wife's family doctor. I give him the highest rating possible and would follow him if he were in another practice locally. He is the best!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
