List of Randal Hartline's Reviews
Dr. Hartline is incredible. He is the first and only gyno to ever make me feel comfortable and actually listens. 1010 would recommend him. His front desk staff could use a little work but everyone has bad days. Overall this is the best office hands down. I recommend all my family and friends to him.
42 days after a hysterectomy I start bleeding. Not spotting but actually bleeding like a period with clots. Unfortunately its a saturday. I call the emergency number and get an answering service. The operator informs me another doctor Dr. Feilds is the on call doctor. She takes my information and calls me back. Then informing me to go to the emergency. 5.5 hours later and a very in pleasant expierence I go home with instructions to contact Dr. Hartline1st thing Monday morning. One Monday I only reach reception trying to inform her of what I need and what transpired over the weekend. So then answering service did not inform him of my emergency call Saturday. Neither did the on call doctor nor did the emergency room doctor. ?????How is any of that possible?Dr. Hartline calls back at 530. Six and a half hours later. NaturallyI missed his call.Hurry and call back and get the recording. In hisMessage to me I realize He has absoulutely no idea what transpired.Plus The receptionphone answering person did not correctly relay any of my message in any understandable manner. because all the doctor thinks I just want to come back into his office.Im so dumb founded I can not even express my disgust.Poor communication = poor patient care.
I did not see Dr. Hartline but saw the nurse practitioner Jeane Grebe. I had to wait 1 12 hours to be seen. Receptionist said she is always behind. Also I was made to pay a $35.00 copay that isnt required with my insurance. After back and forth with the receptionist she said I had to pay it. I called my insurance company that said NO I wasnt required to pay a copay. I have left a message with the office manager and havent heard back knew it was going to be a problem and should have just refused to pay. The office staff is not friendly and I wouldnt reccomend this office for anything.
Dr Heartline is good but you better make sure they get your billing correct because they will not help you at all. They coded my labs incorrectly and I am stuck with a 200 dollar bill from Quest labs. I have never had to pay but they coded routine and it was supposed to be preventive. The insurance company told me that. I have called 5 times no calls back. If I wouldnt have to pay the dr visit I would make an appointment just to let Dr Hartline know. His staff is not helpful at all and they are not doing their jobs.
If I could give zero stars I would. Years ago Dr. Hartline was my doctor and he was awesome at helping me manage my terrible PCOS symptoms. I recently returned to the area and to Dr. Hartline. Unfortunately he is very different now. I have been bleeding nonstop for over 3 months now one month on one BCP and 2 months on a different BCP and he keeps blowing me off. If this had happened years ago he would have had me come into the office immediately. I guess now that Im perimenopausal he just doesnt care. He also isnt communicating with me. When he talks it feels like Im being lectured and talked at instead of talked to. I will be finding a new doctor ASAP. What a waste.
He was a nice man. But I waited a long time to have a 10 minute conversation with him just to discover I really didnt need to be there. I lost time from work and it cost my insurance company and me a copay. If the intake staff had asked more questions this entire thing could have been taken care of by giving me a phone number. Frustrating.
Ive been a patient of Dr Hartline since 2001. He has always listen. because of Dr. Hartline I have my two beautiful boysafter two miscarriages he wanted to find out why and he did. And like many of the other reviews he has been the best doctor I have ever had.
Dr Hartline is amazing. Great Doctor
My daughter just previously saw Dr. Grebe her appointment was for 315 got in a room about 430 she came in didnt have any of her medical records except the one from the er visit from the previous night. My daughter has been an established pt. with Rebecca Brown for 5 years. Dr. Grebes bedside manner is just awful she acted like she had no time or concern for all the issues my daughter was experiencing I had asked a question regarding one of the issues she just looked at her watch told me she had no time that day to do anything for her at this time is was after 500. So with that said would not recommend her spent 2 hours a copay I had to leave work to be with my daughter for us to be told nothing.
Dr. Hartline was one of my favorite experiences in a bad situation. He was my gynecologist many years ago and would still be if I still lived in Knoxville. He actually LISTENED to me...soooo rare in doctors.I had a very difficult situation in female issues and he was patient kind compassionate and put me at ease. He was in charge with my partial hysterectomy and later an oopherectomy. I asked questions anf he was able to guide me toward good answers.Dr. Randal Hartline wasis a rarity in specialized medicine. He brought his small children around with him to wish his patients well. Sweet kidsThank you Dr. Hartline I hope your world is as kind as you

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
