Tennova Healthcare's Online Review Report Card

Was sent to ER by my PCP for chest pain and extremely high BP, was triaged with EKG done in triage then taken and left on gurney in hallway in front of nurses station, had blood drawn then uninterested doctor came and asked few questions, never was complete history taken or was I asked what meds I take . I heard lots of history being discussed about other patients and nurses private lives such as who they date, what it is like to get tattoos constantly on cell phones. Heard them call on my labs numerous times And asking one that was marked stat wasn't done after several hours. After I make statement I should have went somewhere else, I am told they are out of network with my insurance, Dr comes back telling me I can go home nothing wrong but stress nurse starts to sign me out, states sign these papers stating we have you education material and told me what to do when I said you did told yeah contact PCP here is educational material on high blood pressure.....I have had high blood pressure for over thirteen years and been on meds for it that long but they don't know that because they never asked, took BP 3 times and gave me 4 baby aspirin. I will never go there again, they are as bad as Ballad Health in the TRI-CITIES

Every single person that I interacted with was beyond kind. Literally every single person. They truly wanted to make sure I was as comfortable as I could be. Definitely made my first hospital stay so much less stressful. I truly appreciate everyone there.

I received outstanding care from the ER and the nurses on the 5th floor. I was very ill and they did everything within their power to ensure I recover in the be way possible. I want to thank the great nurses and Doctors at Tennova. DR. ELLIS (GI) IS AN EXPESTIONAL Doctor. I want to thank him personally. Thank you again. I will not go to any other hospital. I would like you to know that my recent visit to your ER room was about as pleasurable as possible.  I was very Leary about going to the ER because of the covid virous. I walked in with a laceration in the top of my head and was expecting to be in the waiting room for about 4-5 hours.  I proceeded to fill out my paper work and within minutes I was in admitting and then the physicians assistant came in to take me to a room to receive treatment.  I wish I caught her name because she was pleasant and professional she had a trainee with  her they treated  my wound and sent my paperwork so i could get released.  I was in this hospital a emergency room visit for less then 1.5 hours. Besides the long wait in the waiting room I have no complaints about the care I received. The doctors and staff were all very professional and caring.

I just want to give a shout out to the man in the ER with the really good mustache. I was in the hallway by his office and he was stapling up some papers working hard. He also took a patients lover a hot tray even though he was tremendously busy. You don’t see many hard working men and he was killing it.

My dad was in some heart trouble, the team of cardiologist, and wonderful nurses saved him.I would suggest this hospital if your in need of great care and troubled times they will do their best to make it through them.Thank you Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center...

Called to reschedule an appointment for surgery and the operator would not connect the call to surgery center. She was very rude and she needs to be replaced. That is a important part of Tennova health system and no place for her actions.

If I could give this facility negative stars, I would. DO NOT EVER GO HERE! When you check in for medical testing and you ask about your insurance coverage, you may be told you are covered when you are not. My insurance covers 100% diagnostic testing. I asked to make sure my tests were covered at 100%. I was told beforehand that they were. Then I start receiving bills for coinsurance and deductibles IN ADDITION TO exorbitant totals of the bills. Insurance company has since the provider relationship with them. They LIE just to get you in the door and stick it to you in more ways than one. Do not ever go here unless you are about to die and have no choice.

Nothing compares to the love and care given by a midwife. This pregnancy was no exception. Blair hicks Terrell (midwife) knew exactly what I needed when I needed it without me having to say. Leading me through every stage of labor. On top of that-every single nurse was exceptional! You could tell they each had a calling for caring for people (nurses Sheryl, Linda, and our last nurse that I cannot remember her name ) I truly cannot say enough about our experience. Rooms were beautiful and spacious! Thank you everybody from the bottom of our heart.
