What an amazing, caring doctor! My 88 year old mother was recently hospitalized for congestive heart failure. Under Dr. Swafford’s care, she quickly recovered. Although she was much better, she was not ready to go directly back home. She needed a couple of weeks of rehabilitation and physical therapy to regain her strength. Her insurance company initially denied coverage for the rehabilitation. This is when Dr. Swafford went into overdrive. I feel that most physicians would have just told the family, “I’m sorry, but there’s nothing I can do”. Not Dr Swafford though. He battled the insurance company and didn’t stop until they approved Mom’s transfer to the rehabilitation center. Had it not been for Dr Swafford’s relentless work on my Mom’s behalf, I really don’t know what we would have done. Dr. Swafford is a credit to his profession and our family cannot thank him enough. May God bless you and your family Dr. Swafford!
