I visited this office for an insured requirement wellness check up for my baby, I’m not giving them 1 star but neither 5. I’ll just say that I didn’t even get the dentist name, so I have no idea who the doctor was. First, the appointment went behind, second, the waiting room’s carpet wasn’t the most clean, didn’t have a private space for your teeth to being checked, the assistant “cleaned” the baby teeth using the dental brush in whatever way and then the dentist just came running, took a dental mirror, said everything looks ok and left running. I went there expecting something different.

We love our Ortho ladies at Smyrna location. Have made many good friends amongst their friendly staff.

The hygienist was rough with my baby girl. My daughter did her self soothing exercises while getting her teeth cleaned as it was clear that the lady was being rough. When she finished— she simply got up and walked away and left my daughter lying on the table, without saying a word to me or my child. I went up to my babygirl who was in tears and soothed her. Another young lady saw the interaction between my daughter and I and came over to check on us and then had to go and ask the hygienist if she was finished with my daughter. The young lady then proceeded to add one last treatment to my daughter’s teeth before apologizing and politely walking us out properly. My son’s hygienist was EXCELLENT. She spoke to both my son and I and gave us an update throughout his cleaning. Additionally, when she finished up, she walked him over to me and bid us both a great day. I think that the young lady whom completed my daughter’s cleaning could use some more training in how to interact with the children and their parents.

This is an impersonal assembly line. Don't you dare have to change an appointment because you will have to wait two months to get another appointment to adjust your braces. Don't you dare ask when your next appointment is because they have more than one system and if the person you're asking, doesn't look in the right system and gives you you the wrong date for your next appointment, that's your fault not theirs. You should've known better and you can wait six or eight weeks for your next appointment. Pretend they care about your kids braces, they could give a crap about your kids braces or anything else, all they care about is how fast and how many people they can get through the line. Stay away from this place at all costs
