List of Gary Schwartz's Reviews
I would not recommend. The doctor isn’t professional at all and likes to ramble about different topics other than the reason for the appointment. If anything the Nurse Practitioner I saw in the past was more of a help than he was.
Literally the worst office staff ever. They scheduled an appointment without consulting me or getting a confirmation that the date/time worked, didn't call to confirm or remind about the appt, didn't call the day I missed the appt, didn't send me a paper or email bill for the missed appt, waited 4 months to call me saying they were sending me to collections if I didn't pay immediately (still handnt received a bill at this point). I NEVER MADE THE APPOINTMENT!!!!!!! Why should I have to pay for a missed visit when I never made the appointment. Seems like others have complained of missed visits here too. Seems like a really easy way to make extra $$ by just claiming patients missed visits.
Dr. Schwartz has been my family physician for 25+ years. Yesterday, I attempted to make an appointment to have my foot examined. I was told on the phone he had dropped me due to five no-shows. This would be fine if not for the fact I have only made two appointments with him in the last five years and went to both. After some digging, I found out he dropped me after I made a comment about his son, who was my personal friend, needing help with a personal problem. The last visit with him, he X-rayed my foot after I complained of pain and sent me home without even once examining me…his nurse did it all. Not as much as looked at me or touched me to see the issue. Two days later I emailed their office to inform them I had a piece of wood that was lodged in my foot that I had to have removed at the Murfreesboro ER. If he would’ve done his darn job, I wouldn’t have had to go to the ER. Not only did he never reply, he sent me a bill of $600 for that one visit and stated my insurance was not covering it. He’s lost his touch and needs to retire. It’s a pay check to him at this point and he obviously wants to be on vacation more than helping as he’s now on vacation yet again. Go elsewhere folks.
He was the best doctor I've seen in a long time he really took his time and checked me from head to toe..
Dr. Schwartz is a caring and compassionate human being. He is very thorough and methodical in his approach to medical practice. I would highly recommend.
I would not even give them a star. The front end and nurses do not know how to treat anyone with respect. All they care about is money and not the patients. I went there when I was in so much pain and they told me they could not give me my prescription until I paid them. I told them I did not have the money at the moment and they told me they could not do anything for me without my payment. Then they wrote me a dismissal letter saying they could not see me no more cuz I was rude to the staff. I even asked one of the ladies not to be a b****to me and she got even more rude.i would never recommend this office to anyone
I've been coming here for 20 years and every time I go the experience is worse and worse. I called for a prescription refill and they want to charge me for a telephone consultation. No longer a patient, just a revenue stream. I'll be going elsewhere.
Dr. Schwartz is the best in the business! That’s why I’ve been going to him for 30+ years. He takes all the time it needs to figure out what’s wrong with you but at the same time treats you like a person rather than just a patient!
If i could give this doctors office 0 stars i would. Do not come here unless you like wasting your own time. I almost always have had to wait over an hour for an appointment. I understand things happen but over an hour is absurd. After my last appointment i decided to get a new doctor so i would not have to deal with this again. My new doctor requested medical records for this office and they stated that the only way they would send them is if i brought either cash or check to the office to release them. I am totally fine with paying the fee, but I asked to pay over the considwering the amount of time i have wasted in the past at their office. the woman on the phone said it was against policy and that "a lot of our patients have had to wait that long." That is not an excuse. The office is extremely outdated. The doctor should have retired years ago and the people who work up front think that just because everyone waits over an hour for an appointment that makes it okay. There is no point of scheduling an appointment if you cant see the doctor even anywhere close to that time.
Made an appointment with Gary Schwartz to have rashes looked at on my hands and arms. He glanced at it and said he "thinks" it's this (I'm not saying what it is). He didnt perform any tests at all. What he said it was., it wasnt.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
