This guy ruined my life. I’m 19 years old now and I am having my first drs appointment since I saw this guy when I was 6. I hate this guy. He threatened to have a nurse hold me down and force me to spread my legs and I was so scared in that moment. I have been diagnosed with ptsd. This man ruined me and has probably caused lasting harm to my body because of my lack of drs appointments. Let’s hope this one goes well because I’m terrified. Thanks dr hixon.

I've had a lot of bad experiences with doctors offices, so I value Doctor Hixson and his staff a lot. It feels like a much more personable touch and you don't just feel like a number in their spreadsheets like you do at other offices. Doctor Hixson actually takes some extra time to talk through and discuss things. The staff is very friendly and thorough with explaining anything that needs it, in order to eliminate issues and questions before they have a chance to arise. In the big and usually very impersonal world of Healthcare nowadays, this office has been a very good change of pace.

I really appreciate Dr. Hixson. He is friendly and very tuned in to my health needs. He is very attentive to tweeking my meds to what they should be to help me manage my diabetes and weight. He isn't pushy about health decisions like some Dr's I've had in the past. I appreciate the fact that he will recommend things i should do but leaves it totally up to me to decide. That allows me to think about them and then he always makes sense to me in which i decide to get screenings or shots, which i didn't do much of in the past. So i'm proud to finally have such a great PCP as Dr. Hixon.

Dr. Hixson has been my families Practitioner for quite some time...unfortunately, at this point, that's no longer the case for myself. So, you call in to schedule an appt...but if his assistant doesn't deem your issue enough of a worry to see the Doc, they simply are rude and hang up the phone...why is it an assistants duty to play God here? Sure, if it's an emergency, there's an emergency room...however, some people can't afford that bill even with insurance for something that is potentially a compound issue. That said, IF it weren't for his assitants, Dr. Hixson himself deserves a 5 star review, however his team at the front desk deserves a -5 for negligence to the people, which in a medical profession is a fire able offense.

We love the convenience of having the Stonecrest Family Practice group so near, but we especially like the healthcare team serving along with and including Dr. Hixson. Super friendly, always helpful, always cheerful, and they always appear genuinely concerned. Highly recommended!
