List of Matthew Perkins's Reviews
Dr. Perkins is one of the most down to earth doctors I have ever met and he is truly there to help. I never want to go or take my kids to anyone else!
Some of the appointment setters could really, really, really work on their customer service skills! Other than that Dr. Perkins has been great over the years.
My kids, husband, and I love Dr. Perkins. After I gave birth he went to the hospital to check on my baby and I. I didn’t know doctors even dad that anymore. My son, that is now 10 had developmental delays and Dr. Perkins gave us the right information to start early intervention..... It’s the BEST thing we ever did as he started it all at 2yrs old... I always get a quick response from staff and Dr. Perkins if I call or message him. He never makes us feel rushed and directs all his attention to us, informative, and we just love him.
I would highly recommend NOT taking your newborn child here. 1. There were more adult patients than not and especially since I have a premiee it made me feel very uncomfortable to be around all the sick adults 2. I feel like they failed me and my daughter on mutiple things. They never referred us to TEIS, They told me to ignore a state letter about getting a hearing check "oh she can hear you and she makes noise she is fine" (however the state requires preemies to be tested after they are out of the NICU), when I asked about discussing milestones the nurse told me they do not even think to look at those until they are 6mo the old (alot can happen. Between that time frame, my daughter was in PT and OT before 6months thanks to her new Dr), they would give me growth charts that were not for preemies and even gave me one that said she was 52 weeks old and she wasn't even 6 months old. The Dr did spend time with us and didn't seem rushed however he would rant about the most off the wall things and one time compared my baby to a new car... "Oh when it's new you are worried about all the little spots but it's ok they get older and scratched up... Funny maybe but not when you found a lump under your child's skin and even more not funny after you spent 60 days in the NICU worried. The lady at the front desk in Murfreesboro made several easy request extremely difficult and I'm not sure if it's because she wasn't trained to properly or what but it was very frustrating especially when you were trying just to get a prescription sent to a different pharmacy And there were issues with having that done
Highly recommend Dr. Perkins as a Primary Care physician also!
He is a very good doctor and his staff is good
I absolutely LOVE Dr Perkins. I was blessed to be placed in his care through an ER doctor that found a tumor on my ribs while I was being checked out for a severe panic attack. Dr Perkins was on call and I didn’t have a primary dr at the time. I didn’t know how lucky I was to have him as my new primary. Within a week I was scheduled for exams (PET) and specialists to undergo a rib resectioning. He called me several times to check in on me prior to the surgery and visited me daily while recovering at the hospital. He was one of the first to see our son, hours old, and made certain to have proper testing done when he delivered a diagnosis of diabetes for my spouse. His bedside manner is compassionate and straight forward. He treats the patient as an individual, he listens, he evaluates thoroughly. I appreciate that he always shares his knowledge with analogies that allow someone uneducated in the field to understand his concern and treatment plan. We need more doctors of Dr Perkins caliber. He has been a Godsent to our family. We have visited him for a decade now. I truly enjoy my visits with him and his attention to our concerns and health.
Dr. Perkins has been my physician since 1999. I love him and his entire staff. Always very helpful.
Smart and easy to work with!
Great Doctor, Friendly, Very Knowledgeable!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
