Norman Hamburger's Online Review Report Card

I went to dr. hamburger back in 2020 for my pregnancy and literally only went to 1 appointment that’s how horrible of service it was! My leg was swollen and he dismissed the pain with “it could be the shoes you’re wearing” but it was the beginning of covid I wasn’t wearing shoes because I wasn’t going anywhere. I ended up taking myself to the ER and they admitted me for having a blood clot in my leg that traveled from my groin to my ankle which could’ve lead to my death! After being admitted he came in and stated “guess it wasn’t the shoes huh “ and laughed. I immediately stated he needs to leave my room. Along with that the nurse in his office had to stick my arm 4 times to find a vein to take blood the office is just so unprofessional, I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to him. My doctor that delivered my daughter in 2017 was luckily accepting patients again so I ended up going to her but he needs to lose his license he is not a good doctor at all!

Dr hamburger was rude unkind and extremely unprofessional and disrespectful when he delivered my child 30 years ago . He stitched me up and winked at my husband he was doing an extra stitch for him . To this day that has caused problems for me . My sons lungs weren’t suctioned and he developed pneumonia and had to stay in the hospital for 10 days . Dr hamburger came is my room ( which I was finally alone and was crying in the privacy of my room doe the first time since worrying about and being by my sons side ) he chastised me and told told me to stop crying and go home that I had a family to take care of . Incredibly insensitive and a fool to think I would leave my baby at that hospital . He is the worst doctor I have ever encountered .

Refused to see me or admit me when I went to the hospital in labor. I suffered from failure to progress for 3 days and I came to stonecrest hospital one of each of those 3 days where this doctor refused to treat or admit me. My labor started but I needed immediate medical attention which was denied to me by this doctor. Nobody should be sent home to labor by themselves and be made to suffer for 72 hours. Finally I gave up While in excruciating pain and I was basically forced to go to another hospital where the doctors actually care and know what they’re doing. The doctors at summit quickly determined why my labor wasn’t progressing because they actually took the time to do their job. This is where it was determined that I was suffering from failure to progress due to my baby’s positioning, and my baby was finally delivered at Summit. This would’ve been caught If this doctor gave two craps about me enough to actually evaluate my unique situation. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. What an awful way to behave while working with pregnant/laboring women. Dr Hamburgers neglectful behavior and uncaring attitude caused me unnecessary and undue emotional trauma and I wouldn’t want any other woman to go through the same thing I did.

The worst clinic ever please stay away from them. They don’t help at all. Waste our time

I went in for my first appt with him and expressed how i was having some swelling and pain in my leg and he insisted it was the shoes I was wearing but I haven’t been anywhere to wear shoes. The next day I went into the Er and they admitted me for having a blood clot in the leg I was concerned about and could’ve died from. i will NOT be going back to him at all.

Dr. Hamburger delivered my daughter more than 9 years. I had trouble remembering exactly when the first day of my last cycle was, so my due date was a little off. He didn't take this into account when he gave me an appointment to be induced . I refused and told him I would wait to go into labor. He wasn't happy about that. When I went in for an appointment a few days before my due date, he told me my blood pressure was elevated and they induced me. My blood pressure was nowhere close to elevated, it was only 5 to 10 points off. He induced me just to deliver the baby at his convenience. They used high doses of picotin but I would not dilate for 2 days. I know she wasn't ready to come. Eventually they decided to prep me for a C-section but by Gods Grace, just before they wheeled me to the O.R , I completely dilated in less than 10 minutes and my baby came thereafter. I feel that my needs and concerns were not taken into account . And that's why he doesn't get a 5 from me.

Dr. Hamburger delivered my son via cesarean 3 weeks ago. I visited him my entire pregnancy . He was very knowledgeable & upfront regarding any concerns I had. His nurse, Ms.Gladys, was also very helpful & amazing! I always had a pleasant visit. I did not have one complaint during this experience. I recommend without a doubt.

I Reported this clinic to the TN department of health because the receptionist refused to call my doctor down in Miami. She said i have to go to Florida to do that. And I’m 8 months pregnant.

My first pregnancy i got up thought my water broke we get tothe hospital he comes in with his golf playin pants on checks me said your fine water not broke he then gets to the door turns around saids oh theres no reason to cry wolf. I left him went with Dr.Hirsch. Screw Dr. Hamberger.
