List of Robert Herring's Reviews
Staff was nice but I saw him years ago for gallbladder related pain. They checked me for stones and he told me I would be in less pain if I "ate less McDonald's." I found out when I got a gallbladder function scan years later by another GI, that my gallbladder was only at 18% function for lord knows how long. To him I was just fat. I was sick for years and gaslit. After the McDonald's comment though, I will never see him again. Oh, and did I mention I have Spina Bifida, MD, 3 autoimmune conditions, and a wheat allergy which he never attempted to think about checking. MD can cause fatty liver. Which was one of the only things he DID check on me. So yeah. Stay away unless you like people with the bedside manner of a high school bully. Sometimes people are overweight because they are disabled, not because of any fault of their own. I was sick and he couldn't be bothered to listen much less care.
More than 10 years ago he diagnosed me as having a pretty terrible gastric disease. One that there is no cure for. He was WRONG. I have since been told that I don’t have it and never did. His bedside manner is well he has none. His staff is at most mediocre. I highly recommend you find a real Doctor.
1) Zero bed side manner 2) Left me waiting in a room while he chatted up the staff about weekend plans, a new car he bought, etc. 3) put me on acid reducers for YEARS...the ones they now tell us to only use for 2 weeks.
Perforated esophagus. Wrote ‘no issues’ with procedure even though major pain after procedure when being discharged. Had to go to emergency by ambulance within 2 hours of procedure. No notes kept by Dr. said they don’t have to keep notes
Just like some of the others, Dr. Herring ignored my actual problem for coming into the office in the first place. He was only concerned about performing a colonoscopy and getting it scheduled the next week because he had cancellations. Even after I told him, I wouldn't be able to do it the next week, he had his staff schedule it anyways. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He did not take the time or act like he was concerned with my actual problem.
Dr. Herring is the kind of doctor every doctor should be. He was on time, courteous and friendly. He listened to what I could tell him even though he was well informed about me and had my X-rays up on the screen, and the history of my foot. He treated me like an adult who could understand what he had to say. That was important because after I turned 80, I’ve noticed with some doctors my quality time is shorter. He gave me as much time as I needed and clear instructions on what I could do and could not do if I decided not on surgery. If I decided on surgery he explained what he would do and what my recovery would look like. He also recommended a physical therapist that he would work with on my recovery. In my estimation you can’t get much better than that.
Staff friendly..... unprofessional though. Read my blood pressure and said it was high but the cuff was for a child. Had an endoscopy done and went for a follow up... lasted 30 seconds I described the pain I still had. Herron said your fine and walked out. If you want good service I would look elsewhere..... outdated office and staff . Did not make me feel cared for just wanted another copayment. Needed medical records later on and was treated like trash.... do not use this dr. ....... Any one else would be a better choice
when you call out there its easier to get a call through to the white house than to get help from them, they dont even want to let you talk to a nurse to get answers.i went there to get my hep c treated and 3 weeks later no treatment just numerous procedures to pad his pockets and i find him very rude and not really caring about my problems.
Does not listen to you and the staff is does a terrible job in updating you or even on checking for results.
Ignored my actual problem for reason of seeing him and did his own thing. Finally a month later realized my primary concern was the most concerning issue and even now 2 weeks after getting the biopsy done I am waiting on results. I highly recommend to seek another doctor this office is poor are listening to you or keeping you updated on your results.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
