Shashi Dhar's Online Review Report Card

Shashi Dhar is a well educated passionate Audiologist. Extremely thorough and patient with all his patients. He takes multiple insurances and has one of the lowest self pay prices in Middle Tennessee. He is on several boards and a member of many associations. This means he is constantly learning new information and practices and state requirements. He deals with newborns, as young as two weeks old! I have seen his work first hand I highly recommend him!

Terrible experience. We were referred to Dr. Dhar after our 2 year old son had several ear infections to make sure that he didn't have any hearing loss or ruptured ear drum. He told us he had impacted ear wax, no other issues, and sent us with instructions to use debrox, an over the counter medicine, and it would clear up. He insisted he have a follow up appointment 6 months later. At his follow up, we were told the same thing and to return in 2 weeks. Our twins were born on the day of that appointment so we cancelled. They called several times to get us to reschedule, but with new babies, we had no time for an appointment that would take 2.5 hours out of our day to tell us he had minor ear wax... Again. Out of no where, TEIS and the department of health are calling us, telling us our son was diagnosed with hearing loss and developmental delays that would require possible hearing aids and were wondering if we wanted to use their services. When I called to ask Dr. Dhar to send over his proper diagnosis, he said he wouldn't until he saw my son again for another follow up. We had TEIS come to our house to check and make sure our son would pass a hearing and developmental screening. He passed everything, and the lady who conducted the screening said he was a model child and wished she had his screening on video because he was that impressive. From Dr. dhar's diagnosis, I'm sure she expected a child that ACTUALLY had delays, not a child of above average intelligence who could count to 30, recognize all letters and number, write letters, knew all colors, shapes, etc. not bragging here, just showing the blatant attempt to lie in order to get us back in his office. Clearly he is all about money and less interested in honesty.

Both Dr.Shashi Dhar, Audiologist and Dr.Anitha Dhar, Family Practice are a great aset to Medical field with wealth of knowledge, compasionate, dedication and great staff!
