Unfortunately we had a bad experience on the phone. My son is limping I’m very concerned about it, and they refused to see him and told me it would have to wait for a month until his first appointment. I asked if it could be moved up to now and they could just do the initial appointment. Lady on the phone said no then asked about my son’s symptoms which I gave to her and she proceeded to say we’d have to wait a whole month. Looking for a new pediatrician already.
We’ve been going to this office for nearly 3 years and have always had a great experience. They’ve recently gone out of their way to make sure insurance issues were resolved. Very impressed with how much they care.
If I could leave no stars, I would. I this place is terrible. Front desk workers are awful. Terrible, horrible, terrible. I'm calling the board to report them.
Terrible!!! I wish it were another client close so I didn't have to deal with them. I have been waiting on my son's medicine for a week. They keep sending his medication to the wrong pharmacy, and I have called ALL week to give them the correct address. Today makes a week, and here I am trying to pick up his meds, and the pharmacy I gave these people doesn't have him. Keep in mind this is the same pharmacy he has EVER used. How do you keep messing this up? I don't know if its a language issue or what. They don't listen at the front desk and want me to calm down, but it has been a week, and they can't get it right. The pharmacist saw how upset I was and said I had been to the pharmacy daily. He asked if he could transfer his medication and if he would have it filled. However, it is now considered malpractice!!!! Son has been sick for a week, and they have no excuse.
This office has been my daughters doctors for 6 years and everything was great until the switched us to a different doctor. Dr. Hamacher is possibly the worst doctor there I took both of my sick kids there and she gave me false results on both of my kids. My 20 month old daughter had pink eye and she didn't even look at her eyes to check. My husband took her to the walk in clinic and she had pink eye after all. My oldest daughter constantly gets ear infections and I asked her about trying to get her scheduled for a ear surgery but she refused.
Not taking my son here any more i literally took him in as he was feeling really bad these last few days in the clinic they said he did have a fever they didn’t care never gave him any medicine for the fever and didn’t do any test at all to see what he has going on. I would not take my kids here and I will be reporting these people as they dont care about these kids only the money looks like.
My kids see dr mackenzie and we love her she is always so precise and always making sure we are good and have no questions before she leaves the room love this dr office
I was told we’d get test results within 15 minutes. 2 hours go by and I’ve called and called but no word back. I was told at 3:45 a nurse would call back. Never received a call and now the office is closed for the weekend. I need to know if my kid is contagious!!!
July 25. I call to see if there is any paperwork that I need to fill out before arriving. I was never called for a reminder or sent a text message with the link to complete the paperwork prior to my phone call. I made the call at 9:04 and receive the paperwork at 9:15 over text message. I filled out the paperwork. I found the address online and it directed me to a building called Physicians Plaza II. There is a sign outside that says Smyrna pediatrics and when you go inside, it says that they are located in room 110. I started to look around for the room and I was unable to find it. I go to the second floor to see if possibly they are upstairs and I do not see it. I contact in Smyrna Pediatrics, and I explain to them that I am lost and that I see a quest diagnostics next door and I don’t know where it’s located. The person over the phone was very polite and explained to me that I was in the wrong building and to go to the other building because they were on the second floor. I arrived at 8:40 AM and signed in. I go and sign in and the receptionist that is there tells me your appointment was at 8:30 and I answered yes. She then tells me what day do I want to reschedule. July 27 is a day that I will not forget how humiliated and belittled little I felt. As I arrived, I was received with this look that I was unaware of. I signed in. Everything is going fine. I have no issue and I get called by a woman who states that she is the manager. She pulls me aside and tells me I wanna talk about what happened yesterday. As I was going to begin the conversation, she interrupts me and tells me that my sister left a nasty comment/review on Google. At this point I had no idea my sister had left a review over the experience that I went through the previous day. She tells me that she had no idea why the review that was a “lie” came about. She said she started digging and found out that my sister was related to me through her daughter because she went through patient records to find out who posted the review. She then disclosed to me that my sisters daughter has only been there one time and had no right to write the review because it was a complete lie. As soon as she told me that I started recording with my phone, everything she told me. I wanted to have proof that what I was saying is not false or from memory but verbatim. She then tells me that I am an adult and that I did not need my sister to be “fighting my battles”. She went as far as to make one of the receptionist print out the review and repeat how nasty that review was. I then read the review and there was nothing nasty about it to me. Everything my sister wrote was exactly what happened to me. She then goes and tells me that my sister had written negative reviews and she believed my sister had been paid to write a review. I then said, I would’ve written the same thing. I explain to her the amount of times I have been spoken to rudely and treated. She then question me if I knew what the difference between assertiveness and rudeness is. The manager again makes them pull up all the phone calls that have been placed with my number. I explain to her that I work in customer service, and I have never treated anyone like that. She then tells me that I am an adult and that I should’ve called the manager to resolve this. At that moment, I did not see what was being resolved when I was just being belittled. There’s so many more pediatricians out there. Clients are the reason why they are in business. If you feel the same way give it a like or if you don’t want to deal with this kind of scrutiny, then continue on your path of finding a good place. The receptionist are the face of the company and as long as there are some “assertive” staff who lack politeness, then there will be a decline in the people that go there and the referrals they get. I am glad to say that I have found another pediatrician with lovely receptionist.
UPDATE: Well the experience that my sister had this morning. I will speak for my own experience. There is one receptionist thats always with a bad attitude. The way she speaks to you is unprofessional. This place needs training on how to be professional when you speak to people. The doctors are amazing though. When I first took MY OWN DAUGHTER, the receptionist gave me this attitude simply because I forgot my daughters vaccine record. The reason that I made that previous review speaking for my sister was because no one should speak like that to her. If my parents didn’t speak to us that way growing up, why should she allow someone to speak like that. She didn’t ask me to “fight for her battles” or pay me for this review as you all stated. This is an honest review, my own thoughts. If you all got upset and pulled my sister aside because of my “nasty” review, than there should be changes. Not to intimidate people or call them out when this has to do with the employees actions. I am an adult too like she is. The way she takes care of me, I will always do the same. If you all have an issue, contact me. You all saw the name, not my sisters. Read your other reviews, they all state something about front office, that should tell you something. There was also one review stating about the old building situation that caused her to be 5 minutes late and had to be rescheduled. Please read your reviews and make changes! Some people are not lucky enough to be able to find a better doctors office. I am a proud Texan and I’m lucky enough not to deal with this stuff back home!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
