Today was my first time meeting Dr. Mayfield. Wonderful bedside manner. The staff was very kind and helpful. I didn’t know what doctor to choose. I just knew I needed my knee pain to be treated. I’m glad I chose him.
Love this office! Everyone from the front desk, XRay, nurse Amanda and Dr. Burleson were so friendly and helpful. Dr. Burleson made things easy to understand and his nurse helped me with submitting paperwork for my FMLA and disability. Would highly recommend!
I am sitting in the lobby as we speak, waiting for my husband to come out of therapy. When he does, he will learn that he won't be coming back here due to the rude, hateful secretary who has different policies for different people. She told me I could not wait in the therapy location but had to go elsewhere, when last week she let another's mans wife and his son sit in there. This is all during Covid, so it isn't new. When I confronted her , she said this wasn't true....but it is, I was here, and saw it myself! There are too many other options for services than to tolerate this kind of differential treatment. I understand if you have policies....but enforce them for all, not some!!!
Nice friendly staff.
Dr James Fish handled my surgery and was very professional and an awesome surgeon. Hughston clinic on the other hand is one of the worst patient care facilities I have ever been in or plan on going in again. These people will kill you by not looking at your chart and calling in medicine you can not take (Thank God for a Pharmacist). The after patient care, well there is none and God help you if you need your doctor before your appt. Rhonda the office staff manager is a piece of work. Inform your spouse that even with a signature told my husband he could not call back about my care even when I passed the clot after surgery because they were to busy to answer questions and help! Go to ER was her response and I did and they will not touch you 3 weeks with post op complications. If you value your health and quality of life do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this group as you can!
Dr Mayfield treating me for broken arm. Professional and happy with my treatment. Don’t recall any delays in appts. Referred my Mother with back and leg problems. They were using conservative treatment. She is happy with doctor Mayfield, and his nurses.
So I arrived to the appointment on time and a lady that came in right after me, finished her paperwork maybe 2 minutes before me.. as she brings her paperwork to the window, she holds up the line...where I have to hand in my paper work. There were two receptionist discussing some return or exchange at Walmart with her.. neither of them tried to help the two of us in line actually waiting to be seen. Instead of one receptionist carrying on with the convo and the other actually servicing the line...they kept talking. I would say I’ve been to more professional offices. They don’t really make you feel welcome! My nurse was great 👍🏽 she was kind and asked more questions than Dr. Abbey. He came in looked at my wrist and said it could be ganglion cyst lets X-ray. He didn’t care to much of the history of the issue. I waited an hour to see him for 3 minutes. We took the X-ray, he came back in the room & said ok it looks normal. We have to set you up for MRI. So I’m thinking 🤔 if the X-ray looks normal but you just set me up for two additional appointments. What’s the point of that. (LONG STORY SHORT MY HAND WAS SLIGHTLY SWOLLEN. I DIDNT TRUST HIS OPINION. I LEFT WENT TO URGENT CARE AND WAS TOLD I HAVE TENDINOSIS IN MY WRIST!) how a specialist couldn’t figure it out is beyond me! I feel like they just wanted more money! I felt ripped off.. will not be returning. My wrist is feeling much better after being treated properly!
Dr fish and p.a Jeff day are by far the best, but can't say much for my experience with Huston clinic care.
I love everybody in this office.
Dr. Mayfield has been treating me since Aug for a broken wrist. He & the entire office staff have always been kind, helpful and knowledgable. The front desk helped me tie my dress when I couldn't, Martina has called me in meds at 6p on Friday, & Dr Mayfield pushed up my surgery so I could go on a preplanned vacation with friends. This was my first ever experience with an orthopaedic office and Dr. Mayfield hit it out of the park.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
